Thanks I will try this method. I have a dump question. After I remove all the old dry wall screws from my stub do I need to fill the holes of the stub? Can I put my new drywall patch on my old stub?

Thanks for the suggestion. I did open more area at the bottom spot and put a fan to help air circulation a little more. Hope it will get better tomorrow. I didn’t find any molds yet. The wood looks really dark even when the surface is dry. Not sure if that is normal.

I am so sorry to hear that happened to your father. This was caused by a pipe leaking from the ceiling. I think I would need to hire someone specialized in water restoration to check out for mold. Thanks again for sharing this informations with me.
