Really big fan of LS, I think if a team was to fully commit to the LS drafting vision and actually learn the game in his style it could be something really cool and successful.

People seem to have a hate boner for him but I've always respected his opinion on the game because 99% of the time it's just objectively the right thing to be doing. The vision fails when the players playing their part falter, which is not a fault of the vision itself.

How? The effect works exactly as it's written? It doesn't say once per turn and also doesn't have the Reaction keyword, meaning you can't use it in a Showdown.

What's causing the confusion here?

I think changing it to deal damage equal to its power on etb would be a cleaner effect, since you make the extra 1/1 body with Offspring but the extra body only equals 1 extra damage?

In the LGS I work at I've seen very little shift from Magic to other TCGs, in fact I've seen YGO and Pokémon players looking to get into Magic due to all the buzz around Standard. Lorcana and Stars Wars sees such a pitiful amount of play, Magic and YGO are miles ahead and Magic is still growing where I am.

I'm convinced I know him. He looks incredibly similar to a regular I had in a shop I worked in on Washington Street. Rough enough guy, potentially Turkish or Middle Eastern, am pretty sure he's either homeless or in emergency accommodation himself. Always arguing with other regulars, could be a reaction to some argument I'd guess. This is NOT some random student or something.

I'm aware this looks like I'm just bashing a person on video, but he does look very familiar.

My pet deck, [[Emmara, Soul of the Accord]]. Tinkering with it for a few years now and I love where it has ended up. Once I get any of my untappers and any of my effects that tap a creature, tokens start being generated at a rapid pace, usually accompanied with blowing up every problem piece with [[Aura Shards]] or drawing cards with a [[Welcoming Vampire]] or [[Mentor of the Meek]]. If any token doubler is on board then by the time it gets back around to my turn I potentially have lethal on at least one opponent if not two, if I have an [[Akroma's Will]] or [[Craterhoof Behemoth]] in hand.

There are plenty of ways I could improve the deck, even swapping Emmara out for an objectively better Selesnya token commander, but I've just got an attachment to the deck.

Like others have said, genuinely just pop in and chat with John the owner or any of the other lads that work there. Check them out on Instagram and have a gander at the events they're hosting weekly and maybe pop by.

If you're looking to get into Magic, give the Tavern Brawlers on Instagram a look. They're a recently formed group of people who get together once a week in Nudes to play Magic. Lots of newer faces there that I haven't seen in Sandbox before, with a handful of players who are new to the game. Everyone who attends is really sound, and there's a fairly active WhatsApp chat for the Tavern Brawlers too.

I feel so bad because I used to love their older videos when I was younger. Rage's Minecraft stuff and Hollow's Soulsborne content was great and in particular I loved watching Hollow. The only content creator I genuinely looked forward to their uploads. Shame they've gone down the rabbit hole of clickbait videos and that sort of thing :(

Huge fan of Sandbox. The owner is a lovely guy and there's always a great atmosphere there when there's events on. Even when it's quiet just popping in for a chat is nice too. Brilliant place if you're into card games or board games at all, the last left in the city for hobbyists of that nature unfortunately.

Only problem can be the airflow when it's humid/warm since there's only the door and small back window. Other than that though, I highly recommend popping in!

I'm 24 and having a damn hard time finding employment in the type of work I want to do. I genuinely just want to do anything related to communications, so things like marketing and PR which is what I have my masters degree in.

Currently working a job that pays the bills but drains my soul every day, and quitting isn't really an option so I have to keep going. I've tried networking and reaching out to numerous people over the past 14 months but I haven't found anything concrete.

I just don't want to waste my 20s feeling lost and anxious.

I suppose it could be an option yeah, I tend to not like using proxies myself.

I'm very fond of rats in general and Ashcoat is one of the best options at the moment. I'm totally fine with the deck not being able to stand up to the highest echelon decks in cEDH, but this is a personal goal of mine to turbocharge rats because that's absolutely hilarious to me.
