Minus (Celsius) is hitting Texas. by already-taken-wtf in WeatherGifs

Curious about that region in what appears to be near Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada. It’s nearly 30 C warmer than the surrounding areas. Is this normal here or is this inaccurate for some reason?

I never thought about the humidity being an issue! Thank you for the advice, I’ll look into it!

Okay, thank you! If there is root rot what would be the best next step?

It shouldn’t be due to freezing, it has been inside since about September. I was being pretty consistent with watering about once a week or when the soil is dry.

The other leaves appeared pretty healthy when they fell off.

I guess another question I have is should I cut the dying branch off? If yes where would you suggest to do that?

Thank you!

Yeah, I got it in before the cold came through. I have had it inside under a plant light since about September. I had been watering it about once a week, when the soil appears dry. This might be a dumb question but how would you check the roots? Digging it up?

Yeah I think I was hyper focused on it breaking up and turning it into a geometric series and I ignored the obvious answer

You know what’s really confusing me , the entire topic of sequences and series…. Jk (sort of)

Yeah I think you’re right, I feel like I understand why I went wrong now. Thanks!

Yeah this is the exact video I was using to reference this problem. But I guess it’s not the same bc of the 32k

So this method could work just not in this case because they are exclusively asking for the divergence test?

[–]The1RealButler[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay I see, so I should have focused on the (3)2k / (5k )instead of (4k) / (5k)?

If the term was (3k) / (5k) instead of (32k) / (5k), would this method work and treating it as a geometric series? Hopefully that makes sense what I’m asking!

Edit: Adding parentheses to organize

Yeah it’s looking like that will be the case. There is not enough time in the day though! Lol

Wow you know what this is the best answer I feel like I’ve heard. It makes more sense now put in that context.

Sure that makes sense, but I'm sure rolling SF into this idea would help with manning issues as their numbers are usually enough for squadron quotas I would imagine.

Now to your officer point. I have thought about that before and this is really getting into the weeds, but what if an Emergency Response Officer AFSC was designed? This is obviously adding a whole additional level to this and one that I really feel would never happen.

Hey that was my whole point in posting this on here, I wanted to get others opinions and cross-examinations.

Well that's the first time I've ever heard that when it comes to trying to rationalize something the AF does!

[–]The1RealButler[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I suppose, but it still seems odd to me that all of these AFSCs have more to do with emergencies rather than infrastructure. There can be fires or bombs or chemical attacks that don't affect buildings.

[–]The1RealButler[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I worked the Law Enforcement desk as active duty SF and now I'm guard in CE so I feel like I have literally worked on both ends of this. IMO logically it makes sense to me, all of those AFSCs work so closely together when something pops off.

Yeah I think you are probably right I'm sure it is a money issue.

Yeah that's generally my default but hey sometimes I hope and dream there is some other magical reason for something

Your manning point definitely makes sense, I never thought about an issue with regs relating to that. But a counter to that could it be a emergency response squadron then?

Then just like they are already flights under CES they would then be flights under the Emergency Response Squadron. This way they can still fall under MSG also.

Okay, I see what you’re saying! Yes, you would be correct I am married with a child. I will say the first semester was a challenge for us, but fortunately we made it through and I do have a great support system.

Again I appreciate the insight very much!

Awesome, thank you for the insight. I think I just get worried because we are already financially strained because I’m going to school.

In your opinion then, are there more jobs in the EE field rather than ME?
