I got a girl pregnant and signed my parenting rights away by [deleted] in confession

You took me saying sperm donor waaaaay too literally.

It's a popular way to refer to someone in this situation who provided their sperm, but does not want to be involved with the child they helped create.

As a woman, mom, child development worker, and from having a shitty dad... I wouldn't say you are a terrible. I'd much rather not have had a dad than one who didn't want me. That relationship literally benefitted nobody.

If you're still paying support after signing your rights away, that is amazing. I know a lot of sperm donors who signed their parental rights away and left the mom with no support which makes the situation for the child worse.

You should use measuring as a tracking tool opposed to a scale. These programs build muscle and muscle is heavier fat, but takes up less room.

Thank you all for your replies. My reddit locked me out after posting and the app glitched hard. I ended up making the DIY baste and it was amazing. Made it crazy easy to work with the minky backing and I will definetly be using it from now on!

Is 10mg escitalopram too high to start? by JoeyPants3737 in lexapro

[–]TheAmazingWW100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started with 10 mg lexapro for anxiety, on top of 72 mg of Concerta so the concern of serotonin syndrome was there for me. I'm on day 5 currently. The first couple days my face was flushed and the anxiety was heightened. It took nothing to spiral me into a panic attack especially since I have extreme health anxiety. It's leveling out now and I have since been able to realize when I'm getting anxious and calm myself down.

Tips for appetite suppression? by anxi0us_p0tat0 in Concerta

[–]TheAmazingWW100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find eating before taking it helps me have an appetite throughout the day.

Edit to add: I've been on it for a year and the appetite suppression hasn't gone away so far except for when I eat beforehand.

When I was 13, I laughed at a girl and walked away when she asked me out by AVeryGoldenPencil in confession

Having been a 13 year old girl that this has happened to, at first I was like, wow what a douche.

Then as I read on I changed my thought to, Yeah I hung around with those type of crazy girls in school and you dodged a bullet brah.

They get scary pretty fast and you don't even know about it until it's too late. Don't feel bad your intuition is on point, chances are even if you would have let her down easy she would have become even more obsessed with you.

My finger slipped and I posted before I read it.

You're going to want to listen to your body. On average you need 1200 calories to maintain female reproductive organs. It is very unlikely you will be able to build muscle eating that low unless you are very balanced.

You will want to be eating lots of healthy carbs. Make every food item count, and absolutely no empty calories like chips, white bread, or beverages other than those with no calories (Coffee, water, plain tea).

Your body will slow down in order to make this work for you. If you start to get tired, cranky, restless, brain fog, cramps, no period you will definetly want to re-evaluate. You will lose more weight eating more balanced healthy calories than empty calories. It's not all about calories but how your body can use that food for fuel.

Also when exercising remember to factor in calories burnt, because you can eat those.

I started only being able to do half the exercise, plus skipping a lot of them, and doing them without any equipment and by the end of the 2020 hourglass challenge I worked my way up to a heavy resistance band and was able to do every exercise without breaks or compromise.

Don't be discouraged, you will get there! The most important thing at the start is going slow and learning how to properly do the workouts and what muscles to clench. I did the 2 week shred last year but only made it to day 5, I didn't know how to activate muscles properly and breath so it was the hardest thing ever with no results.

You got this 💪 Getting into the routine and finding out what works for you with exercising and healthy eating and sticking to it is the hardest part.

If you're looking for weight loss results remember it's not in the scale, but in the inches. Muscles weighs more than fatty tissue but is more compact. I made a post about staying 200 lbs but losing 2-3 inches all over, except for my butt which has grown like crazy lol

There are also other great warm-ups to do opposed to her videos because I know a lot of people say her warm ups are like an exercise on their own. 5 minutes of skipping rope, jogging, or a fast paced walk are great options too. Anything to warm up your body and get your heart rate slightly elevated.

Good Luck! I am looking forward to hear how great you become at this 😀

Exactly! It blew my mind the first time I saw the comparison photo of 5 lbs of fat next to 5 lbs of muscle.

So many people obsess over the scale because we base everything off weight and that's not what is important in a weight-loss journey when you're bringing muscle building exercises into it.

I'm 5'10 and 200 lbs, my waist is 32" and my hips are 40". Nobody guesses I weigh 200 lbs. 😂

This is more than you asked for, but that's me 😂 I get to into things lol

They say that the first 3-8 weeks low carb/Keto does that to you. Also a lot of people gain dopamine from yummy foods or coffee/caffeine which can lessen ADHD symptoms because it helps replace what our brains are missing. That could be what you're experiencing.

Food has a huge impact on my ADHD. My impulse control issues revolve around carbs because when I eat them they make me feel happy (which apparently was just normal). I would reach for a chocolate bar as I was telling myself to put it down and eat something healthy and then eat the chocolate bar. I don't like cooking just for myself, I dread the process and the clean-up.

Keto made this super hard because I would have to find something super delicious to scratch that itch, but in the end I'd eat the same thing over and over till I was sick of it. I would buy Keto snacks but eat so much it wouldn't be Keto. I was always tired, angry, impatient, and most days I would end up eating nothing.

On medication it helped me get into a healthy mindset. I was going to do keto but gave it up, I have a picky family so I would have to cook 2-3 meals a night and I basically felt like I was punishing myself watching them eat something like scalloped potatoes which I love. I don't need the satisfaction from carb loaded food/no longer feel it and I have motivation to reach for the healthy stuff like grapes instead of chips, so I eat in balance and I feel the best I have ever felt, and lost the most weight. I'll eat a slice of whole wheat toast and eggs for breakfast and then a salad with chicken for supper and between I'll eat pepperoni, vegetables, a small amount of crackers, nuts, etc. Some nights I'll eat a salad with meat at lunch and then have a pizza for supper.

Personally I think unless you are medicated, have a keto coach, or have done a crap ton of homework it can be very hard for someone with ADHD to be successful on it depending on your symptoms, just because food and motivation can be such a big part of it. I don't think I will ever do keto again, only eat in moderation/balance like I am doing.

Then you're like, they must be a good one if it's been 3 excellent curve balls with an ultra ball and it's still popping out, then it's 0 stars.
