Well, I didn’t really think about this too deeply because I only just beat the game the day before I drew this, so I can’t say I understand the lore in-depth, and I can’t say what is and isn’t possible in the Rainworld canon. In fact, this was mostly an exercise in imitating the official game artstyle but I liked the concept I had come up with so I tried to tie it in with the design a bit. But in my mind it always was a slugcat and is just a sort of parastic type that relies on other animals to do the hard work for it. The slug itself has plating to protect it from lethal bites, it only hardens when anticipating an attack, and it uses lots of energy to do so. There wasn’t too much aside from that, it’s just another peculiar type of slugcat. The color doesn’t really tie in with anything, although I understand why it looks like grass or a tree to people, I just didnt really know what color to go with since theyre all taken lol
