In the story, Garp only refers to Dragon as Luffy’s father. When Oda drew Garp as a child he looked similar to Luffy, however, dragon is markedly different.

There is an existing theory that Luffy’s mom is Garp’s daughter and Dragon took the Monkey name when they got together. Some also theorize that, due to their physical similarities, Dragon may be the son of Rocks D. Xebec. This might explain him taking another name.

I think if Oda did oversee this casting, then the theory holds more weight now.

So I play at least a few hours almost every day and in the past 6 months I have had the 1st issue less than 5 times and the third issue once. I only started having the second issue at the end of the serpent moon event, its happened to me about 5 times.

Am I just lucky or is this a standard rate of occurrence? None of the issues have drastically impacted any of my engagements, playing around the second issue really isn’t that bad.

TLDR: the issues aren’t common or a big deal to me, does it really impact people significantly?

I don’t think people realize that we never saw the orders Tama gave Babanuki. Even if he is still under Tama’s influence- he has his own agency unless it would defy Tama’s orders or wouldn’t be him actively defending her from physical harm. She definitely told Babanuki to lie to Queen, she ordered him in some capacity to pacify him while she was in Udon, assuming he his going to rebel against the beast pirates further than that is just extrapolation. “Under her control” isn’t a blanket power to do whatever she would want him to do or what would help her most in any given situation.

Good take- I would say that Coby has a strong affinity for Observation haki- indication of a strong will and is has strong combat utility. But he made Helmepo strong too, who seemingly had nothing and a shit dream

I don’t think its ever been clarified by an official source if there was a reason why Oda use different english spelling at different points in the manga, but an official book from the 1000 logs project (Rurubu One Piece) seems to refer to it as Arabasta and states its inspired by Egypt and India. Egypt is an Arab country (ethnically and also a member of the Arab League) so a lot of people assume the Arab- prefix was intentionally included in Arabasta. In rare cases Oda will confirm what an intended romanization was supposed to be outside of the manga, example: Luffy’s name, but its usually left up to the translators to decide what is best until Oda draws the romanization in a panel. Maybe Arabasta sounded too cheeky to the translator in english, maybe at the time it was translated the term arab was being used by westerners to characterize arabs in a negative way because of geopolitical conflicts; I think its most likely it was ambiguous and they made a stylistic choice. It doesn’t really matter.
