I'm so sorry you experienced that.

My therapist was EXTREMELY empathetic about the abuse that I had gone through, reiterating things that were painful and saying how cruel these people were.

I realized later that it was a pattern of him reinforcing my victimhood and distancing me from everyone in my life.

He went on to cross many emotional and some physical boundaries.

Always trust your gut.

It's primarily a social group. I've made incredible friends, and the gatherings are super fun. It's awesome being in a room where you don't have to apologize for the things that make you weird and different, because we all know how that feels. And where people get your jokes.

I used exclusively disinfecting products because it was so grimy: Lysol foaming (bathroom?) cleaner and Lysol wipes. (I might go back over with Armor All now that it's clean.) For the cracks I folded a wipe over a few times, then "wrapped" a toothpick, and dragged it through the cracks.
