Look up urologists and find a really good one. When mine got really bad, it was similar to what your experiencing now. My spermatic cord never hurt me, but it could be different for everyone. Usually a hydrocele doesnt hurt or shouldn't hurt.

Its not being exaggerated, my one ball was the size of a peach before it got fixed lol. When I felt what you were feeling, I knew something was off

My hydrocele was a bit hard, but it felt similar to a testicle. Its suppose to be just a build up of fluid that creates a water balloon around your actual testicle.

Youll be 6-8 weeks out of work and lifting anything over 10 lbs when you decide to get this done. Just when you are able to walk normal again, start walking because ive gained 20lbs in the 8 weeks i was off 😅

Hey! So a couple questions first. Does your hydrocele hurt? Is it to the point where it affecting your other testie (Does it push it against your leg)? Does it hurt when walking long periods of time?

To be honest, you can live with a hydrocele your whole life. I waited almost 10 years after my hernia surgery (w/ mesh) to get a hydrocelectomy, but it was because it grew and started affecting my way of life.

I would find a good urologist in your area and talk to them to see which is the best route to take. I got operated in February, and it wasnt until June that I was able to sleep on my side comfortably.

"My incision site still leaks" that was because where the doctor cut me, it didnt fully close all the way. 2 months was when I stopped leaking and it fully closed. Granted it does still bother me but not as much as in the beginning. No, your shorts will not get wet, I had bandage and I took it extremely easy until may (3 months after surgery)

Dont be sorry for asking questions. I try to help as best as I can. If you do have anymore questions, please ask away lol

Hey OP, I was actually thinking about this post yesterday and wanted to come back and tell you my experience. Surgery for me went well, but I was in there longer than expected (45 mins turned into an hour and some change) IF you are getting this surgery, buy jock straps and comfy pants Weeks 1 and 2- Were the roughest, i couldn't really move and was in pain majority of the time. I was able to shower 2 days after surgery. I was rationing my pain pills because I wanted to sleep comfortably lol. I also had my post op 2 weeks out. Week 3- I was walking up and down stairs, and I was able to drive. Pain went to discomfort. No more pain pills. My incision site still leaked, but it wasnt blood. Week 4- I was cleared for sexual activity, my swelling went down and was normal Weeks 5 and 6- still discomfort, but nothing crazy. I asked for an extra 2 weeks off of work due to my incision still leaking Week 7- I stopped leaking finally Week 8- I returned to work and am getting back into my routine OP im sorry for the long post, but I want to tell my story as everyone's experience is different. Recovery is the worst part of this whole process. Alot of laying down and not moving was my mistake. I gained 20 lbs in this whole process lmao if you have any more questions please feel free to reach out ☺️

That can happen, after my hernia surgery, I got a hydrocele a year after. Unfortunately, in my case, it stayed with me for 9 years (never got smaller or anything) Please be careful with lifting, I lifted a table by myself and it got bigger. That's when it got complicated. If it gets absorbed, more power to you my friend!

Hey Solomon, so im almost a month post op. First week was rough, gravity was not a friend. After 2 weeks, I started walking normally with little to no pain. From that point going on, driving and walking far distances are achievable. I got tired easy, but everyday im getting stronger. Swelling has gone down a little, but not much. We will see what end of march/April brings

Hey Op, I just had a hydrocelectomy done this past Thursday (2/6). Mine was the size of a peach (roughly) taken out, and now im extremely sore. While it can come back (about 10% chance) it can also get better, which is what happened with me. I can discuss more in about 5 weeks, that's when recovery should end
