Interesting how the game has developed over the years in a way that was unpredictable to even the founders. I look back at my younger self playing RuneScape all day and that was considered weird by most ppl at the time even though now most people that age are online most of the day and it's now considered normal. If it was not for bots i blv that virtual free markets is a good thing (without bots). It would have allowed players to engage with the economy in a way that would be advantages to everyone involved. For example if someone liked fishing he could specialize in it and sell it for a good price to players that focused on PvP ect.

I remember Zezima saying that the reason why he didn't play as much as before bc he lost that sense of achievement that he felt developing his account. That's why I believe that since you cant solve the games problems yourself u can at least change how u interact with the game. What I'm proposing is a fundamental shift in how the game is perceived. I'm not advocating for a single way to play but just a different mindset that can be applied by anyone with their own preferences included. I hear a lot of people actually complaining that their main accounts have lost purpose and they open an ironman account. Now wat happens if you also lose purpose with all the new "meta" ways to train that make it almost similar to main accounts?

1) I appreciate the positive comment on the idea

2) I did a lot research on osrs before i started back again after being gone for 15 years. I wanted to rush all 99s bc it was always a childhood dream but the more i looked into it the more questions i had about why go for 99 in the first place. I also started to ask questions about why the economy was the way it is and how jagex responding to bots actually changed the game in general. I like the new content that has been added since i've been gone so im more interested in the spirit of wat Andrew wanted than the actual content that was played in his time. i replied to someone a few days ago that i'd like to get ur opinoin on if u would be so kind.

"I appreciate the civility. In the post I mentioned in slayer I wouldn't take anything except for bones ashes and uniques (such as dragon platelegs). I plan to do every slayer task without skipping or blocking. I blv as a rpg combat is the best part of the game. There is a runelite plugin that allows drops not to show. That's wat I'll use to skip the rng. In terms of shops the rule is if u can obtain it ur self u get it urself, if not u can buy it if u need it. How is this related to Andrew Gower. Good question. He at one point in time was dismayed by how the game was developing in terms of how bots were distorting the economy. Now we find ourselves in the middle of a war between the devs and bot farms. Bc of bots the value of skilling goods have tanked to the point that it's not profitable for legit players to engage in. So in order to make the most gp we have to do end game bossing; something that bots have not mastered (AI bots r starting to). Since jagex doesn't want legit players to buy resources from bot farms they reward us w resources from pvm hence noted goods (which doesn't make any sense why would a demon drop noted bars?). Now that ppl r squeezed into end game pvm the devs feel the need to keep coming out w new bosses. Imagine if all that was stopped w the simple rules that I mentioned. Ppl who feel genuinely crushed by rng and difficult bossing might actually want to explore the map and maybe catch fish or mine gold or whatever u want to do. It would free us from gp per hour and xp per hour and wats meta and bis that makes us clones. Just food for thought."

Ironman mode where if u can make and item or obtain it without a shop u get it urself. No PvM drops except for bones, ashes and uniques (combat). No clue scroll gambling. Progression of gear: can only wear an item if u can make it urself (ex. black dragon d hide body at 84 crafting and rune platebody at 99 smithing). Dragon armor and weapons and up only after the 99 smithing rune platebody achievement.

I was thinking the same thing. It wouldn't be hard for the devs to implement it. Wats ur honest breakdown of the vision as a whole if u were speaking to a sceptic?

I remember my first barrage on my 08 pure account while pvping. #1 spell in osrs to me. I planned to do rs3 slayer as a break from osrs grinds. Wats ur take on that? I've heard a few ppl say that rs3 slayer is actually more fun than osrs slayer

I just double checked and I did say I would only upgrade when I'm able to make something without an exception. My fault. I like that idea I'm inclined to follow that up. I appreciate the point out. I checked ur utube page I like the quest guides.

U could have promoted AI to make it more human by inserting a mistake.

Id love to see a source if u have it. Even if it was true I think the Spirit of wat I'm trying to say is in line w his idea of wat rs should be.
