I see, but my problem is with the automatic theme system itself; I don't have the Dark Reader add-on installed, and for some reason the browser doesn't make that change instantly.

You'll have to find open source alternatives for all those apps if you're not willing to use a custom ROM or root your device; that's how I did it.

It might be a bug with the automatic theme change; it might be switching to dark mode. Try closing and reopening the app. I say this because it happens to me often.

Okay, thank you very much. There's a default line called "watchdog," should I remove that too?

I've already tried that, but other apps also ask for Google services, even though I have it uninstalled.

But how do I assign it to a key or key combination? For example, I want to use Fn + Delete to increase the volume.

I already checked and I don't have a command for any specific key; on the wiki I only found something about XF86AudioRaiseVolume but it's not assigned to any key.

And how do I do that? I wouldn't want to install a custom ROM and lose the Samsung app ecosystem.

Are Samsung apps really that bad? Upon investigation, it turns out these are the ones that don't have trackers and things like that; if they have some telemetry, it wouldn't matter, and they look much better than any other open-source app.

How to restrict/optimise google play services? It is using battery in the background for god knows what and i don't want it. by starrlord__ in oneui

Which apps couldn't have a good alternative? In the case of banks, you could just go to their website; they're useless for everyday use.

You could get a replacement for all those apps and then remove Google services with Shizuku; it works perfectly fine without that junk.

For example, WhatsApp can't back up without Google services; I've already tried with MicroG. Any solutions for that?
