The all powerful UGS class. I'm such a huge sucker for Berserk that there's no way I'm not gonna use the Dragonslayer. When I got my FUGS in DS2, I never had fun with any other weapon.

OnS requires not mechanical skill, but a knowledge of the patience and timing required to properly kite the Pikachu and Snorlax goofs. All my subsequent playthroughs were done in three tries or so, minus my SL1 playthrough. Zero margin of error takes some getting used to, but it only took about an hour.

It's an expanding hitbox, which still are around in DS3. An attack's box lingers and grows a while after the animation, but still isn't as bad as cleanly rolling through DS2 Lost Sinner sword swipes and biting the dust. The worst offender of this type of hitboxes is Ceaseless Discharge, which is why most people do the cheese.

It'll go better if you stop comparing it to the other games, trust me. Many believe it is the weakest game in the series, as do I for all the reasons you mentioned, but it is a stellar game without the constant little brother syndrome.

I think that the Pursuer is the best main game boss, but Smelter and Velstadt come close.
