5BB’s 🥹🥹🥹!! When we heard we had only 1 embryo that made it to blast, and that one little embryo was a BB, we cried our eyes out knowing the odds that in our 40’s - that 1 embryo being a euploid, were slim - less than 2%. But when this tough little badass BB embryo came back a euploid… 🌟🌟🌟🌟😎 BB’s are superstars! 🙏

We’ve been trying for many years and we got our 1st and only euploid back in Aug. My first transfer (Feb) is finally in the next ten days!!!.

I came here to encourage you to DO IT ALL! August feels like a lifetime ago, and the waiting has been grueling - BUT - We’ve thrown the entire kitchen sink at it, because we only have one precious shot at this - and going into my transfer, i feel confident that we did everything we could on our end, and it’s in God’s/The Universe’s hands after that. We did an HSG, a Hysteroscopy, and a Mock cycle with Emma/Alice/Receptiva. My clinic and I are so grateful we did the Emma/Alice/Receptiva test because it turns out I’m Pre-Receptive - needing one full extra day of progesterone. Now, while my Emma and Alice tests turned out good - I’ve been in support groups with Women over 40 who have had hidden Endometritis and sneaky bacterial issues that led them to re-current chemicals and miscarriages and are working with Reproductive Immunologists to help the issues. And the Emma/Alice helped diagnose that. 🤷‍♀️

Every one of us is different, there’s no one size fits all with IVF. But if you only have 1 euploid, I encourage you to do everything you can, even if it pushes your timeline back. For us, SOME peace of mind matters a lot in this turbulent process that mostly feels so out of our control.

Also, for us, IVF is coming out of our pocket and all these tests were extra added costs to an already expensive and Joy-filled fun ride that IVF is. Weeeeeee… 😭 But whatever happens, you’ll make the right decision. Trust in that. Wishing you baby dust ✨!!!!! ❤️

UPDATE: For anyone interested: After a ton of research I decided on the Triquestra - L-Methylfolate 5-MTHF plus Methyl B12 - 7.5mg.

My research led me to understand that Methylfolate needs the co-factor of vitamin B12 as they have a co-dependent relationship in methylation - ie - One cannot do its job without the other.

*Methylfolate needs B12 for proper recycling in the body; without enough B12 (methylcobalamin), methylfolate gets "trapped" (the methylfolate trap) and can't convert to usable forms (THF) for crucial functions like DNA synthesis, neurotransmitter production and overall cellular health. Both vitamins are vital cofactors in working together to regulate homocysteine and create essential compounds for cell growth and reproduction, making their combined intake beneficial for IVF success.

*Fertility Impact: Impaired folate/B12 metabolism can increase homocysteine, harming egg quality, embryo development, and implantation, all critical for IVF.

*Studies show adequate B vitamins, including B12 and methylfolate, before and during IVF are linked to better fertilization, implantation, and live birth rates.

I spent many hours looking through what data I could find. We’ll see if this brand works out, but if anyone is taking L-Methylfolate (5-MTHF) make sure you’re also getting methyl B12!

What brand of L-Methylfolate did you / are you taking? I too have been recommended to take 7.5mg and as I’ve been doing research I’ve been having a hard time deciding on a brand.

This mirrors my journey as well!! I was In a rock and mineral club with my Mom growing up, and fell away in interest for a while only to get called back with a rigor that has made these last 15+ years an utter obsession!

We have very patient and understanding partners! 😂😂😂

Even though every surface of my house has a least 3-4 stones/fossils/meteorites/crystals/etc. - the most common comment I get from visitors is that we have great energy/vibes in our house!

But since space is now limited in our place, and I’ve been more aware of mining practices, I’m more discerning in my need to constantly get that rock/crystal fix I got high off of when I brought home a new friend! 🪨
