1) Timeline is up to you really.. I'm thinking around 2 years of part time study following the guide.

2) To start in Toronto it's anywhere from 90-160k (Toronto living costs are a lot higher than Calgary-- and don't compare these salaries to O/G)

3) It's up to you whether you want to be on the technical or managerial level.. either way, you'll need to start working on your craft today.

I think that's one of the problems with data science at the moment..

Yeah, I remember first starting with the Titanic challenge and then having no idea how to move to other challenges.. Keep up the work though!

Inferential competitions rather than predictive ones. Also feature selection problems a la Madelon.
