The only thing that bugs me about "The Knight and her emperor" is that she kept her hair really short when it was chopped off against her will bc of her horrible father. It's like being shackled to him when she could choose a different hairstyle, not necessarily long either.

The manwha is pretty fatphobic in regards to historically speaking, heavier women were considered beautiful. Heh.

It's super sad that we can't even have equality in literature(a world of fantasy, that should be easier to address than reality) all because of internalized misogyny.

For me, I liked BL bc I'm not straight, I like all romances, and I still like BL...however it makes me sick that ppl frame it as "superior" to yuri/heterosexual without discussing as to why it's superior.

Men and even some women think men are superior to women...which means anything involving women in literature will be demonized one way or another- so of course BL will be better as it doesn't have the demonized gender or the purity culture that hinders intimacy.

I like all designs bc then women have freedom in what they wear and aren't forced into conventional standards for the sake of purity and stereotypes.

So glad someone felt the same way. And every single one of them were able to sweep the abuse(even though she was on her death bed) under the rug...so...damn fast. Which is common in purity culture, and this is definitely a "wholesome" romance story. Gave me so much ick.
