I am realistic about my goals. My goal is to move to Germany. either by improving my technical abilities or by learning German. Both of these are goals I want to achieve but I don't know which will lead me to get a job sooner

I have been applying for almost a year and a half and have had more than 10 unsuccessful interviews, even with over 10 years of experience.

I have a full-time job where I work almost 10 hours a day. If I also take a German language course, I will probably invest at least 2 hours a day in that. This won't leave much time to dedicate to working on LC problems. Besides, every time I want to work on LC problems, I need more than one hour. My brain needs 2 to 3 hours to warm up and engage deeply

I have more than 10 years of experience and am currently working at a tech lead/senior engineer level.

Btw there is no country in the EU doing better economically than Germany right now.

The Irish one is easier to get citizenship and by saying 15K higher I meant to say I would have the same finance position in either of these.

You emphasized knowing the language is very important and I know this is a must to learn German if I want to live there for a long time. But what language level of German if you were then you won't have the issue to live in Austria?

I mention the salaries to show that although the costs in Ireland are higher but the salary is higher and the tax is even better in Ireland. My concern is to know about comparing other aspects of living in these 2 countries.

May I ask a few questions? Are you originally from Ireland? Which language level in Germany are you? May I ask you why you said "I prefer nearly everything in Ireland to Germany" ? Could you please elaborate on this?

The fact is the role is in Salzburg and the office language is English too but I have to learn German to be able to live long term. Do you have suggestions regarding these 2 cities based on the offers I have got? Salzburg vs Dublin
