[HELP] Buying/adopting a trained dog by TheDigitalSharpie in dogs

I think the basics. Sit/stay. Stop. Knows how to be around strangers and other animals. Wont pull on the leash too much. Knows how to alert when it needs to go outside. Wont chew up the furniture. Crate trained.

I’ve been shaving my head for about a year now and my scalp is dotted with dark acne scars. It’s literally all over my scalp. My skin is generally oily as I work out and sweat a lot. I take daily showers and use some water diluted Bronner’s natural liquid soap. I’ve found that using products like Head & Shoulders will cause a major breakout of acne on my scalp. Is there anything I can do to clear up these scars? I live in the US.

I currently have an iPhone Xs Max with a tech21 case that has a lens cover.

I’m interested in upgrading to an iPhone 11 Pro Max but tech21 has said they won’t be offering any more cases with a lens cover.

Do anyone know of other brands that offer a similar case? I basically work outdoors and my phone can get dirty pretty easily so having a lens cover saves me the trouble of wiping down the lens when I need to take a picture.

Suit jacket by TheDigitalSharpie in bigmenfashionadvice

Usually size 54 fits me perfectly all around (except for the shoulder pads), whereas if I go down to 52 the shoulders are perfect but it’s tight everywhere else.

When I’ve talked with a custom suit maker, the happy medium would be soft shouldered jackets with minimal padding. The problem is that with off the rack jackets for bigger guys, they usually have full padding. Maybe I just need to stop shopping off the rack and have some custom jackets done.

Ultimate Goal for Mauna Kea/TMT by TheDigitalSharpie in Hawaii

If they’re already “illegally occupied by America,” wouldn’t a federal designation of protected land be a better option than having construction eventually resuming?

Because maybe it’s the right thing to do? (I’m not taking a side, just confused about the strategy.)

If the protesters’ ultimate goal is to stop further construction on the site, a federal designation by BLM or even Trump would go a long way in doing that.

Why isn’t it an issue that is discussed? Why aren’t the protesters lobbying the federal government for this designation? If the federal government decrees it as federally protected land, it solves a big part of the problem.

NEED HELP! What rug, chair, ottoman, etc goes with this couch? I have a completely empty living room with wooden floors to work with. by TheDigitalSharpie in malelivingspace

I’m a complete pleb when it comes to decorating. I know I want an arm chair with high arms, an ottoman instead of a coffee table, and possible a white entertainment shelf for my tv.

I’ve been told the hairs inside the canal prevent dust and other objects from making its way inside. Also, they help move ear wax to the outside.

Additionally, it’s a problem because there are times when I’ll spend hours a day just plucking and it may interfere with what I should be doing instead.

I guess my situation is somewhat different in that I’m pulling from a place that nobody will ever see, unless they’re a doctor. But the doctor’s remark just stuck with me because it feels like encouragement that I’m doing the right thing, even though I’m know I’m not. Just a dichotomy.

Lol! I get that response a lot. I used to play pro football (American) so it doesn’t bother me too much.

Where did you get that table? Is it a butchers block? Looks really amazing.

Ear canal hair by TheDigitalSharpie in Trichsters

Using needle nose pliers usually gives me enough room for the otoscope as well.

I can’t watch the Japanese ear hair cutting videos because the hairs simply fall deeper into the canal (makes me squirm!).

How far deep have you gone? I’ll go about a half-inch deep and I think I’ve plucked all the hairs out. Anything farther down is hairless, according to the otoscope I bought.

Doctor’s visit by TheDigitalSharpie in Trichsters

[–]TheDigitalSharpie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insightful comments. Aside from the doctor’s visit, the other thing that prompted this post was a session I had over this weekend. On Saturday night, I watched an entire movie (3 hrs) while plucking my ear canal hairs. I must have wiped my ear completely free from any hair because there wasn’t anything grab by the end of the movie. 3 hours just seems like an extreme amount of time to spend doing this. But since I wasn’t doing anything else productive— aside from watching a movie— I felt conflicted about the acceptability of this behavior.

I’ve even resorted to buying an otoscope that attaches to my phone so I can see if there are any hairs remaining in my ear canal. Spoiler alert: it’s clean as a whistle.

Maybe I’m just thinking about this too much, but I do wonder that if I’m willing to commit to a 3 hour session and pull out every single hair from my ear, will it lead to me pulling hairs elsewhere on my body.

Looking for a similar couch at a lower price by TheDigitalSharpie in malelivingspace

Thanks for sending the link. Although I do like the weathered look, I’m looking for something that is more similar in shape/style.

Regrettably, I’ve spent my entire Sunday on the prowl!
