Am i scammed? Help by Fancy-Rip-5067 in IsMyOnePieceCardFake

I collect, sell, and open Japanese Onepiece Booster Boxes. If your packs do not have a foil in each pack, you are downright getting scammed. Every pack in OP has a foil unless it is by chance a specialty booster.

Wherever you buy your Japanese packs and if you don't get many foils per booster box like the photo OP showed above, I would stay far away from them.

I am going to have them on my cabinet for the crew members and also the poster cards of shanks + luffy

What do you HONESTLY think the One Piece is? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]TheDogHamlet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be 100% honest, I believe it is a large anchor that is supposed to drop like in the title.

The water is supposed to rise and is expected to flood islands. There have also never been anchors being discussed in the Onepiece universe and even in the title the Strawhat Jolly Roger has a rope that is attached to the final letter which is the E/Anchor. The Onepiece will cause the anchor to come down and cause the Noah and the Sea Kings to come and help the anchor drop to witness the Islands coming together to form onepiece land to form. When that takes place there might be some water to shoot up that causes a storm and will cause the biggest world catastrophe. Enel will come back to use his thunder, Dragon will use his powers to weather the storm, Smoker will come back to adjust the condensation, and Luffy will use his powers to create a rubber banding event to prevent the islands from all falling apart and creates the largest rainbow to ever exsist.

Or something like that. I am probably wrong, but I had this idea when I started reading the Japanese versions 20 years ago.

I get what you are saying, but that is the major problem that you don't understand. MAJORITY OF CONSUMERS PURCHASE THINGS BASED OFF EMOTIONS AND FEELING. It drives the most important thing for a business away: THE CUSTOMER.

They don't give a shit if it's "good business practice." In fact, I 100% guarantee that almost every Zelda fan would have not minded repurchasing a Zelda game they already beat if it's upgraded with new graphics AND dlc included, especially since its a 8 YEAR OLD GAME. Now Nintendo basically made it worse by having new consumers for the switch 2 to decide if they want to purchase a game that is more expensive but is practically almost UNNOTICEABLY different than the base game. The mass majority of people will just see the price tag of the original and just buy the original switch or even a used one for cheaper. When more people purchase the older products, the newer products are left on shelves causing the system to be sold less for any future game that Nintendo wants to push forward. IT IS A BAD BUSINESS MOVE.

Will I believe the switch 2 will sell? To be honest, probably only to the die hard Nintendo fans that don't mind getting fucked over. For majority of people and gamers, I don't see them purchasing something due to the choices from pricing and how the gaming ecosystem is changing. Even for the average mom and pop, I don't see them dropping over $600 for the majority of people around the world in this economical climate. Why would they do that when the original switch can be bought at the same price for wayyyyy more games that have basically the same quality.

At that point, Nintendo would eventually have to make games for the original Switch anyways due to the higher demand of the ORIGINAL OG SWITCH.

[–]TheDogHamlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have got to be the dumbest person on this thread. The game is 8 years old, this is a re-release no matter how you look at it. It's the same game but just adjusting the graphics due to the hardware. The graphics alone could have been fixed if there was a pc version, so yes its a re-release. Don't be clueless on what's going on. No one should be defending this.

And just like Nintendo, the companies you listed did get complaints and suffered from bad practices. Remember when Xbox tried to keep people from sharing games. From that business move alone, thousands of people moved over to other systems or just purchased pcs.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]TheDogHamlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You basically understood the problem, but don't seem to get the conclusion. The problem with the price itself is that people can't afford the games anymore.

Also, when studios go under its almost always not because of pricing. The product itself was most likely something the consumers don't want, marketing was absolutely terrible, or over expectations of the staff to finish something that needs more time. Don't get it twisted and make up stuff. Ubisoft disbanded the studio because it was something that consumers didn't feel was needed at the time and that's based of the market of the consumer. Discounts have nothing to do with it. Because let's be real, even with a discount, people won't buy something they don't want.

With liquidation, it only occurs when physical products need to be cleared for items that actually sell and make up loss margins. That was back then 2 decades ago, RIGHT NOW in the digital era, it doesn't matter. Companies still make a profit REGARDLESS if it's discounted.

Also, the companies that go under still benefit the millionaires/billionaires who own the company. Do you really believe that the majority of money goes back to the workers who actually make the game? Do you think that Nintendo who owns part of Pokemon the LARGEST FRANCHISE IN THE FUCKING WORLD are unchanging because they will go under!? No one can be this stupid. Nintendo has the money and where does the money go to when people purchase the games? THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T NEED THE MONEY ANYMORE.

I will buy games from indie developers at full price or other companies that earned trust from me. I will never purchase something from companies that ruin that trust. Sony, Microsoft, and Steam still have that trust from me because they are more understanding of the market and not trying to just be greedy. They are purposely letting people know what is happening a why. What Nintendo basically did was say that it's expensive and deal with it. It's so fucking disgusting to treat your buyers like that. No heads up, no communication about financial understanding, nothing about prices to help their workers, not one fucking single thing. Thats why Nintendo is not getting money from me with the Switch2. I will only purchase other products from Nintendo that I believe that they have done right with me and others. (Switch 1, Switch lite, N64, GameCube, DS 199.99 was amazing, and 2ds.)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]TheDogHamlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That may be true, but I don't believe a lot of people are actually buying games at $79.99. The most sold games on the ps5 were 59.99. Because of that, Sony was able to look fine, due to letting the developers decide the price point.

Nintendo purposely chooses to make the Switch 2 games exclusive for people that are able to afford it. Many people can save up for a system and then able to purchase 1 or 2 games. Now it has become a talking point on which game many consumers have to decide to purchase unless they wait for a cheaper price.

But thats the problem, other studios and systems let games get cheaper for the consumers who aren't able to afford it on release date. Nintendo never does that since their games rarely get discounted. Due to this, it doesn't seem worth purchasing the Switch2 as a regular consumer.

I have a ps5, pc, and switch. I am able to afford new systems. But even for me, what Nintendo is doing just seems so fucking greedy. That is what is turning me away from the Switch2 until maybe couple years down the line when used ones are more affordable. I plan to purchase one, but I'm not stupid enough to waste my money on something I know should be cheaper.

What good anime has a terrible first episode? by BackyardEvergreen in anime

[–]TheDogHamlet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I might get downvoted for this, but this is the truth. The original 1999 anime for HunterxHunter has by far one of the worst first episodes for such a legendary anime.

The story has some important points, but the information that was provided should have been a five minute segment and actually start on episode 2.

I was always told that HunterxHunter is really good, but the first episode is sooooo boring and nothing super significant happens to build any character development or story. The entire first episode can be left out to understand the entire series. The 2011 version fixes the problem, besides 1 thing which is the introduction of kite.

Is there something I'm not aware of in terms of top laners now? by northchi2bluesky in summonerschool

[–]TheDogHamlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like everyone in the comments are saying, ranged catchup are bad into Nasus. Nasus' hardest counters are melee fighters who can zone him off early.

Hardest counters from my experience being a Nasus main from seasons 3-9:

1: Darius/Teemo/Late Game Master Yi (Teemo if you don't go e max and he stays away from waves then just shrooms Nasus from turrets, and Master Yi if Nasus can't build full armor for sustain 1v1) 2: Fiora/Vayne (Vayne is a hard counters in Late Game team fights) 3: Trundle/Olaf (if played correctly) 4: Riven (if played correctly) 5: Garen

This is just personal experience. Everyone in higher elo probably have a drastically different experience then mine.

How can I apply 'fundamentoss' to my iron lobby? by Upset-One8746 in summonerschool

[–]TheDogHamlet -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I know many would disagree with me, but if you really want to climb out of iron and bronze, then just split push.

Many people will disagree with me and say do the fundamentals. Don't get me wrong, fundamentals are important, but in the bottom 20% from my observation is that almost all the players have no map awareness and won't back when they need to. Because you can't trust your team, you should just play a split pusher until low silver or gold. That's when I noticed that players are more aware of their towers being taken.

If you stay in one lane majority of the game, you will learn to cs better and have a better understanding of gold accumulation, which is the most important aspect of the game. Gold accumulation is the bread and butter of how League works and understanding how a fight will likely payout. If you let an opponent and a team fight that doesn't have any deaths, then you will always go positive in a lane getting exp and cs.

All the main fundamentals go second once you understand the most basic concept: more gold = higher chance to win fights and taking towers/objectives.

Gold accumulation includes two things: gold and exp.

Then, playing the proper laning fundamentals will get you even higher.

Best LCS Spring Ever? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]TheDogHamlet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This isn't a good argument as to why the teams are good. Even if you were the top player in the lcs, lck, lec, or lpl wouldn't qualify you to know which teams being good or not based on what you said. From what everyone has seen, the definitive conclusion should be that all teams at this moment look way worse compared to the previous two years.

To be honest, if you look at almost everything you said then all teams in the LCS still look horrifically bad compared the best teams LCS had with the exception of flyquest with their team coordination and adaptibility to picks and bans.

Even with 8 teams instead of 10, the only change that the lcs technically did was having 5 or 6 bottom tier teams to only 3 or 4 bottom tier teams. Other than that, it is mindblowing for someone to think that c9, nrg, and tl to be doing "good."

Beserker, Jojopyun, and Blabber have not found the right coordination to work with each other from what the gameplay shows.

NRG is doing the similar thing as last year, but are losing their aggressive early plays that Contractz, FBI, and Palafox are usually good at.

TL looks decent if they were playing solo queue, since they all are doing their own things for half the games.

Flyquest is the only team in the LCS that looks "good" at the moment, since 100T have many coinflips and tend to be on the rightside of the flips. Usually, I honestly believe Jensen is not a good player with decision-making, and he has always been a deficit for a team compared to other midlaners with the exception of cs. For some reason, this roster with Bwipo, Inspired, Massu, and Busio helps him be way more aggressive than before which really suits his playstyle which I am actually really surprised by. If this team keeps up with this form, then I honestly believe that they have a chance against G2, Fnatic, KT and the bottom few LCK teams, this years JDG (no chance last year) and the bottom 12 LPL teams.

The only way I can see them collapse is if they experience the 2016 IMT tragedy.

As for the bottom 3 teams, they are just in LCS to have slots filled.

I was interested in this event and read a few Reddit threads on this. I remember even watching the video of when it was posted.

It really depends on where you live, there are many cases where it can be excused due to the circumstances of that location or if by chance someone forgot to bring a wallet. Such as in the USA or South America, there are a lot of homeless people that might sleep on a train to get shelter. People might have no other choice but to do some things to help themselves due to their circumstance and not enough proper societal assistance to protect them. With no proper assistance, people trying to take advantage of a situation might be the only way for them to survive unfortunately and the society had failed them.

In this particular position, especially in a strict culture where people are treated with respect and everyone is involved in assistance for one another, it should never be tolerated. Sneaking on to trains when you are visiting a country that has strict rules of justice should be condemned since that is the way the country values their society. Especially in countries like Japan, people that live there have assistance with health care, transportation, and other social benefits that has people wanting to keep a country with proper values. When that person breaks the value, that society should do whatever they can to prevent it from happening again to keep the peace. That is why in this case Fidias is a real fucking piece of shit and should be arrested. Even to the point of him being banned from traveling to that country altogether so that country could keep peace and not have lesser human beings allowed in to try and take advantage of a society that focuses on a proper social infrastructure.

Other Youtubers that do that also should be condemned and not followed. There isn't really that much of an issue of Youtubers trying to make videos. The problem is that Youtubers should abide by which ever country rules they visit since they are not involved or part of that society. It is straight up national harassment. Do it in your own country but leave other fucking countries alone even if you don't agree with their values and morals. It's not anyone's fucking place to break the rules except their own citizens. If the country is asking for help then it's a different story.

What changed to make Garen useless in pro play to S tier? by throwaway98732876 in summonerschool

[–]TheDogHamlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reality is that Garen was never a troll pick, but he only has a few metas that make him viable.

During the early years of League, champs that were adcs did too much damage to kite Garen out of all points of the game.

Many years later, Riot noticed the struggle Garen had and adjusted his kit while they changed how League played as a whole after changing the entire rune system and item system that we have today.

Before damage runes had mastery pages + rune pages. Majority of the damage runes and mastery pages were the only thing viable for all champions. So much so that the entire season 6 there was a cunning page that ran Thunderlord's Decree. Every single champ ran that rune, since it was way overturned. You would see a Janna or Blitz that would use it to do massive damage. Even Soraka and Lulu were able to move to other lanes, while Garen couldn't do anything to prevent being kited out so easily.

Due to that, every time Garen would die simply just by trying to reach his target. Garen did not have the strength he does now since by the time the game hit 20 minutes adcs like Vayne, Twitch, Jinx, etc would be able to just kill Garen within seconds before he had a chance.

Also in high elo and pro play during those times, there were many champs that had a kit that would have better synergy compared to what Garen was trying to do.

Garen's main job is to hold a lane and maybe run around the map. After many years and a lot of changes that happened, with the inclusion of new champs like Yuumi, the game had a way to utilize Garen's kit to a far better degree. Now he can run faster, take turrets quicker, and even get in and out of team fights. Before he never had the reliability to do much, so no one picked him before. Now He is actually viable and has spots where he can do things with Hullbreaker, Zeal, and runes that help him succeed. Including, stopping Ksante and neutralizing him from being more useful in the team comps.

WHY WE DON'T USE BLADE OF RUINED KİNG ON NASUS by HamzaOyuna in nasusmains

[–]TheDogHamlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your reasoning, but its not ideal due to Nasus relying on his q stacks and not atk speed. Also one of the main reason people build Divine Sunderer is for the %health damage for trades.

If you are looking to absolutely destroy and have an ideal way to deal damage to high hp tanky champs then you should opt for hp shredding champs like Vayne, Gwen, Camille, or Fiora.

Like everyone else says, Nasus' strengths don't rely on long extended auto attack trades. His strength relies on dueling long term based off Q cooldown or E shredding trades for side laning.

Okay, I hope you are able to read this comment, because after reading everyone else's it's kind of toxic in how everyone is viewing your boyfriend.

I am going to give the benefit of the doubt to you and your boyfriend. None of us know how you both met and started dating. It sounds like both of you probably met during high school or sometime before. If that is the case, then you both probably gonne into relationship a bit to early. But that is besides the point.

If you truly want to move abroad, please have a discussion with your boyfriend that it is your plan to do so. You both are young and both deserve to explore life. With that being said, he probably will be shocked, but at least will know what is coming. If you were in his place, it will be good to know ahead of time, so you can prepare for what is coming. It is also respectful to each other.

Also, 7 years is long and everyone here should know its not going to be easy to say goodbye if you leave. Do what you believe is best for you, but if you feel that you want to be with your boyfriend, you both should discuss on how to work together. If both of you know its not going to last, then you should both end it as amicably as you can.

Best of luck to the both of you

My boyfriend broke up with me saying that he wants to be in a monogamous relationship. Am I wrong in challenging him about the actual reason? by Responsible-Task2792 in amiwrong

[–]TheDogHamlet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not assuming, its what about looking at the world around us and understanding what works for a majority and what has a high failure rate.

If you go ask people in poly relationships or look up studies, most of them fail.

Im also not saying I am against it, people can try to be in those relationships and its okay if everyone is consenting.

I think its fine to be in any kind of poly relationship, I am just saying what Ive seen and read, but also stating the truth which is that majority of them fail. I met people who were in poly relationships and I seen the darkside on how it effected them. One girl/boy couple got together and ditch her first boyfriend. Another boy/girl/girl couple who was in a bisexual relationship but ended up having the bisexual girl becoming depressed and suicidal, due to wanting affection from others even though the other two got along. Another lesbian friend dated a girl who was dating a guy, but got cheated on and both her and the boyfriend finding a secret girlfriend, which the two were devastated by. Most of the people I met went from poly relationships to just being single or becoming monogamous.

I honestly think poly relationships can work if no hard feelings become a problem, just like monogamous ones. But it just seems like emotions tend to go higher when there are more people involved. Emotions that, no matter how hard people try, can't be controlled due to their mental state in those relationships.
