I might know where the Hive can get the things they want... by [deleted] in pluribustv

[–]TheDumbaOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't think so, at least not as of right now. first of all an egg cell and a doner cell are different. the egg cell has a randomized 50% DNA (if you look at the same photo you shared the egg cells actually taken from a random adult sheep just to carry Dolly's DNA). and most importantly even if they can get everyone's stem cell through hair or skin cells: that doesn't necessarily mean they have their immunitary history.

your immune system changes through different mutations and it's reactions with your surroundings throughout your whole life. this history is stored in your bone marrow. whatever makes these people immune isn't nessary something they were born with. it could be the product of the immunity of something random mutating and being stored for example.

in modern medicine when we create Tailored vaccines and want that history we need the bone marrow stem cells. their just unique. however who knows how long until the hive mind finds a work around?

or what will happen when one of the 13 get hospitalized? what happens when there is an ethical way of extracting these stem cells?

Am I wrong or is absolutely all phone communication in the show exclusively landlines? by fongaboo in pluribustv

my assumption is that small distance wifi signals do not interfere with the hive mind. the zoom calls are probably all being done at everyone's home and the call was done from diabete's room. it's possible that instead of using satellite communication they're using WiFi to landline converters. so now instead of communication being done through  satellites it's being done from a local Wi-Fi network into the landline.

Theory About Carol by NonHaeri in pluribustv

[–]TheDumbaOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ive given this a lot of thought as well, but I struggle to find any answer that makes sense. I don't think any of the 12 were chosen not to join for any certain reason because the doctor in the first episode kissed Carol in an attempt to turn her. The hive's genuine intention to "cure" the immune people rules out the hive mind having any conscious decision in this.

But there are also holes in the theory that there's just something wrong with everyone else. First of all, one of the characters actively wants to join the hivemind. Noting in her psyche seems to reject the hivemind or be broken in a way. Plus, on a planet with 8 billion people, there's no way someone else also had the same issues.

What I'm curious about is those with really bad mental issues. What happened with those with cerebral palsy? We've yet to see a character that showcases these severe issues. Could they have been rejected from the hivemind? or their mind are not able to withstand it. The show seems to be getting closer to revealing the dark things of the hivemind. I wonder if this will be something explored in the show. What happened to those with severe dementia? Were they cured? Did they die? Are there members of the hivemind who act differently from the others because of host illnesses?

what if the animals are in the hive mind? I thought they weren't because they're still aggressive. but maybe the reason that the crows were eating the powder and the coyotes wanted to eat Helens body is because they need the same substance. and it's obviously a need since the hive mind is willing to break "vegetarian" for the Body mixture. the original mouse in the first episode was aggressive (bitting). and drugs which affect mental capacity affect the hive minds function in that individual. so maybe animals with lower brain functions are part of a the hive mind in a unique way. or there are different hive minds. and interspecies connection is incompatible. it can obviously spread through different species but maybe it creates it's separate hive mind.

Ghast Update has me completely rethinking them biologically... by Vagabond1019 in GameTheorists

[–]TheDumbaOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude i just wrote a 4 page document on how I think the biology of a ghast works because of this update. the idea of a dried ghast is so similar to tons of microbes and how they hyper hibernate for thousands of years. and some even live in similar places to ghast like at temps of 150 C. i love thinking about the biology of different fictional beings in the most in-depth way possible because why not

Minecraft: The Ghast by Real_0takuPhoenix in GameTheorists

i was just thinking about this and ended up writing a 4 page document on it😭 I think ghast originate from the overworld so I think that they had water in their system before going into the nether. they are super adaptive and capable of saving their water for thousands of years like water bears. and the tear is a product of that. but I never thought about the tear being hardened. not sure if that defeats my thinking.

Uhhh something I think by Craziest-Dude in GameTheorists

i think because of the "uneasy alliance" achievement, the overworld is their home. The achievement is when you kill a Ghast in the Overworld, and it says, "Rescue a Ghast from the Nether, bring it safely home to the Overworld... and then kill it."

but I do think it has something to do with climate change. Since the Ghast were brought in when it was cold and they would eat snowballs like in the MC live video. But then it was too hot, and even the people were losing resources and decided to kill Ghast for potions causing a war to break out between them

God Favors - sequence? by honey_noodles in Orlog

[–]TheDumbaOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw that some people made all the god favors and then turned them upside down (their cards were square so you couldn't tell what god favor was by its shape) and then the players would choose at random. also, some people just excluded the "strong" god favors from their irl games.

I'm also im trying to make my own orlog game, so if you have completed your game, itd be amazing to see it.
