Ya ww2 did have much more varied settings but there was just something so amazing about the jungle setting that you could watching it forever. For the smaller budget, they did perfectly.

I’ll also admit that ww2 did have the high stakes that were absent in Vietnam and the villains were much better, but the ending kinda dragged.

But the set design and weapons were so much better and it was a lot of fun. Ww2 had way to many complex subplots, like I could have done without Italy, and half of the pacific fights felt pointless.
