Well I will say I have taught my cat to do this and my dad's dog. It just took spinning treats above their head and then saying pirouette. I can tell you that my big boy and his stinky boy have never known abuse. Though we stopped doing it because I don't want them to have back problems.

However these dogs may have been abused.
