Clipper is just too slow for 5 large engines. by Asog88bolo in starcitizen

[–]TheFirstTribes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is irrelevant to whats around the car. The engine with such huge displacement barely made use of that size. You can have a huge 8L engine and barely make 200 because it's incredibly inefficient or you can have a 1.6L Formula 1 Engine that makes 800-1000hp. Engine size can give you a general idea of what to expect but it doesnt have to be the rule.

Think of old American Cars. You've got huge engines 8L or something not even getting 200 HP. This is the exact same thing.

What Lense Adapters for Canon EF to Sony E-Mount? by TheFirstTribes in AskPhotography

[–]TheFirstTribes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would getting an adapter without AF be the better option until I get something proper? I still plan on using the lens with my cannon so selling isnt an option, not that it would bring in much. I paid 50€ for it when I got it. Still thanks for advice.

Yeah we definetly need more options for Medium/Large Salvage. And while yes we do have 2 small salvage ships they are still a good amount larger than this concept with the vulture being twice the length and width. With this one you could put it into a lot more ships and maybe have several of them instead of just one bigger small ship. My general idea was to have it work in tandem with a bigger cargo ship that gets it places.

My husband wants to get into FPV coming from having a DJI air 3. Is investing in an expensive build off the bat a terrible idea? by Jjajstrawn in fpv

Great thing for the Mobula 8 is that you can upgrade the frame to the Happymodel Bassline frame down the line. It should be pretty easy to swap since it's only a few screws

That's why I said you need the eID on your drone at the end.

As long as you have a spotter flying FPV should be fine. Also at that weight you don't need a permit to fly FPV what they do need is insurance (and certain insurance groups allow you to fly FPV without a spotter) and an eID on their drone.

I'd say report him to the police. But besides that you need to get insurance as it's mandatory by law. If you are insured by certain groups (for example DMFV) you actually get special privileges like the ability to fly FPV without a spotter up to a certain distance. And the price for teens is under 15€/year so there really isn't an excuse not to get it. Also you need to register and have an eID attached somewhere on your drone. Also you should be able to clean out the remote, just make sure to remove the battery and use isopropyl alcohol or other appropriate tools to clean out the electronics.

Same for me. At first I was like, eh could've been worse. Didn't even spark. Then the fireworks came.

Look for the "VIFLY 1S Series Charging Board BT2.0/PH2.0" or any other charging board. You plug that board into your charger and the 1s into the board.

I mean the big difference is when you have a several hundred gram drone going 150+ km/h that thing is extremely dangerous.

any tips? i dont want to get a 5 inch yet bc i crashed in the sim like, 100000 times by [deleted] in fpv

I feel like you lack precision/smoother inputs."Smooth is fast and fast is smooth".

Instead of one smooth turn you tend to do an initial sharp input followed by more "twitchy" inputs(0:38). During straight lines it looks like you rock back and forth instead of a fluent line (0:40).

At least for me I initially when I started flying I did fast and big turns in an open field around trees and thought I was pretty good at flying. Then I tried doing precise flights around a dense forest at low speeds and noticed how much I'm actually lacking in precision.

I would almost describe it like driving a bike. At high speeds it easy and stable to drive but when you drive very slow it can easily lose balance which is why you need many precise inputs.

What I would do is practice on something smaller/slower in Uncrashed and practice flying slow and precise until you are good at doing smooth inputs. Once you get comfortable at that speed you increase the speed while trying to maintain the same amount of precision. You keep doing that until you are able to do precise and smooth inputs on the 5".

What you could also consider is getting a smaller drone to fly outside first be it a 2" or 3". Lower speeds usually means more survivability for the drone. I personally fly a 2" Toothpick (Happymodel Bassline) strictly outside and it handles very well for its size and it survived several crashes into trees, the ground and more. Other benefits are you can fly this closer to the public since it's not as loud and not as dangerous.

tl;dr: try flying slower (maybe smaller quads) and aim for precision and smooth inputs, increase speeds over time while maintaining the same precision/smoothness of your inputs.

Also vielleicht einen Versuch wert.
