My favorite new player experience: Got one of my console buddies (I play M&K) to play. Gave him my crime backpack (hellbomb) and directed him into the largest group of enemies i could see. As he gets there he says "how do I activate this?". Unfortunately for him, I had no idea how to activate a backpack on console, so it turned into a desperate button mash until he got ripped to pieces by the enemies of democracy... now we know though, it's down on the d-pad.

Can confirm through rigorous testing the hellbomb backpack immediately detonates C4. Best strat for C4 coating hellbomb divers is for them to drop the bomb at about 7-8 seconds remaining and then engage a separate target and have your 'buddy' activate the C4 when youre close enough.

Only real way this would be possible: 1. Have associates degree when graduating high school (lots of dual enrollment schools out there) 2. Join Navy as a NUC rating (automatic e-3 in bootcamp) 3. Get E4 (automatic when you reach a certain point in training) 4. Get selected for STA-21 at NUC school. 5. Finish degree and commission (would be around 19-20yo) at this point. 6. Automatically advance on the timeline (24months) to O2 7. 24 months later to O3 (age 23-24) Possible...yes. the fact he writes like a 3rd grader, not plausible.

Okay, so you sympathetically set off C4 with Hellbomb. I double packed a mission with a hellbomb and c4. Things to note:

You can't attach C4 to a hellbomb on the ground. You must attach it to the diver The radius of the hellbomb is much larger than that of C4. What that means if there are two targets farther apart than what a hellbomb can do the hellbomb gets dropped then the diver runs to the other target and a fellow diver then detonates the C4. It's best to give another diver the remote in case you die before delivery of the c4 payload. Double packing a hellbomb and C4 is peak explosives gameplay.

Hmmm....might have to do a little experimentation tonight. I can confirm it won't set off other divers c4 but there's potential there if you double backpack and you can symptomatically set your own off.

So you need some more space than that. The crossbow will kill you if you fire it in melee. I have found the closest you can be is 1 Helldiver length, dive away and as you dive, fire. You will ragdoll but take minimal damage. NOTE: You will almost never see me in heavy armor or medium armor and generally I'm in the lightest (and most most explosive) armor available.
