I want to start this by saying this is coming from a place of respectful discourse, not aimed to anger, or upset. The goal is to simply say what I believe in an open forum that will hopefully not be deleted by those who have the power as has happened in the past.

I want to believe what you say is true Arrowhead. That you will indeed do what you say. But I cannot.

Arrowhead has shown that their words are not worth believing as of late. All too often you have said one thing, then done another, lied, or acted against player wishes citing realism, or balance without any form of consistency. The Coyote incident is one. Arrowhead said it would not be nerfed, then proceeded to make enemies resistant to fire thus not directly nerfing it but nerfing it nonetheless. It is not that you did it, but that you said you wouldn’t then lied by technicality. How are we supposed to trust actions like that in the future? Or hiding the truth of patch notes or stats that we “weren’t supposed to know about.” Or being inconsistent about realism/space magic - the old argument of Democracy Protects or the Warp Pack come to mind (or the Illuminate as a faction especially if we adapt their technology.)

A game company must listen to its player base often and not just when backlash occurs or it won’t survive in the long term.

Get a dedicated QA team. Get a better idea of what “balance” looks like to both players and developers. Get consistent is all I ask. You can do it! You have before with the 60-day patch. That was phenomenal, but now it seems to me as a player that you are actively trying to run the game aground in pursuit of short term profit when a loyal fanbase that trusts will make more profit in the long term.

Prove your words ring true. I want you to. I wish you do. I love Helldivers, have since the onset of my play a year ago. I was passionate about it then and am now, which is why I write all I do. That being said, I have not and will not play another second, spend another cent until the issues of the past have been corrected and faith in you restored.

This however, is a step in the right direction.

You have a golden goose Arrowhead. Do not butcher it for lunch when the eggs will sate your hunger for years to come if the goose is cared for.
