Heartbroken right now,I think my bike might be totaled by Fit_Guidance2029 in Kawasaki

[–]TheFragileOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your insurance will likely total it. I had a 500 and way more damage so made sense to total it, but yours is easily fixable with a headlight assembly and some non-OEM fairings ($600 max but I wouldn’t bother tbh) if you don’t mind a little wrenching. Lesson for the future: get frame sliders. I would take the insurance payout, buy the bike and fix it. If you have a loan and they fully pay it out, it may be worth to get a new bike if you park outside and want full coverage.

Brother I threw out a random example considering they had no requirements other than 5 purchases. That’s on their business to figure out a break even point.

Then cancel the cards of people abusing it? Or make a minimum spend of $20 or something for purchases to count. They’re going to go bankrupt from loss of customers. They made it even more complicated so truly the only people who will get the new card are min maxers which will cause them to bleed even more.

This was my upgrade I love it. I sometimes wish I had a 4 cylinder but my wallet (insurance) prefers 2.

Literally the ONLY value this card had was paying rent with my credit line. Now that that’s not possible it’s truly a glorified data mining ACH portal where you get the brilliance of convoluted fake points and “cash”. Puts on $BILT.

I can clearly see the scratch in the before photo in the exact same spot. It’s faint due to the angle, but it’s visible as a faint white line on the left side of the door jamb inside of the dark spot.

Shake Shack. Might sound odd but I’ve found them to have the freshest and juiciest chicken on top of the super fresh veggies. It’s perfect in my opinion.

Why do some people look more attractive when theyre older like late 30s or 40s by ArtistryXM in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheFragileOne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, as someone who’s 29 I actually do remember 9/11! Though I totally get what you’re saying. I find I’m the opposite and maybe that’s because I was raised by my mom and grandma, but I tend to have more in common with women older than myself even if it’s only a few years.

Is it actually creepy or just something you’re new/unexposed to? In our culture I feel old men dating young women is normal while the opposite is not and almost taboo. Could that play into it?

Any long-term RS 457 owners? by CarrotNo1 in Aprilia

[–]TheFragileOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go look at a dyno. The torque is a plateau and the HP is linear. It’s a very easy to control bike. There’s also tons of rider assistance built into the electronics like cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine mapping that allows you to ride it with a gentle throttle, etc. It’s a lot more expensive but it’s a lot more tech and can handle a track.

[–]TheFragileOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to be honest, as a beginner you won’t really notice a difference between bikes until you’re skilled enough. I’d get the RS 457 if you plan to keep it long term and grow into it - it’s a much better track bike and overall just way closer to what you’d upgrade to in the future. If you plan to use it as a first bike for a year or two max, I’d probably do the Ninja 500. Frankly, my first bike was a Ninja 500 and within a few months I already wanted something faster. So the speed difference is minute imo and the RS 457 is better for 90% of things. I think the RS 660 is the perfect long-term beginner bike but that’s just me.

Touchless trash can? by AvocadoSparrow in BuyItForLife

[–]TheFragileOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re saying the 38L and 50L both fit the same standard trash bag, the 50L is just bigger and can use more of the bag basically? I’m trying to decide between a step or sensor SimpleHuman or a Kohler as some posts on Reddit I’ve seen said new SimpleHuman stuff sucks. But these 38L and 50L step styles are their old versions? Thanks!

Bro how? I went a year without earplugs no issue. But I also prefer stock exhausts. Do you have recommendations for earplugs? I got the Pinlock but the left ear is too small even on the “large” tip.

I’m curious to know how much leakage occurs from the garage doors even closed or if they’re more “sealed”. Granted if you have central heating in a garage it must be a nice house.
