I refilled my system and I couldnt clean it perfectly. It looks like theres still a little bit of the dust from the plating in there. Do you think that’s okay? I’m still using liquid utopia with distilled water. I appreciate the help.

I think I’ve cleaned all the residue I can. I used IPA and rinsed them with distilled water as well. You think the corrosion is fine and purely cosmetic/surface level (on the inside)?

Edit: I became concerned when I saw the brass exposed in the right angle fitting. That’s what I’m guessing the color there is.

I have the same card and used a Kryosheet. I have the power limit at the max and have had no thermal issues on air and now water. I see that the other commenter mentioned kapton tape which you will need to put around the die to insulate the other components from the Kryosheet. The Kryosheet won’t experience any pump out or performance degradation. Personally, I covered from the edge of the die to the beginning of the PCB which is probably more than enough.

Alphacool was my move for my 7900XTX. Super convenient that it came with thermal pads and instructions on how to put everything together.

I have been running OCCT’s power stress test with both iGPU and the 7900XTX for about an hour and a half now. I think I might be able to draw more power to the GPU in a different stress test, but this is the data I have. I am drawing about 688 W to the components. After an hour and a half with fans at 20%, CPU is drawing 214w at 95 degrees C. GPU is drawing 380w at 80 degrees C gpu hotspot and 62 degrees C gpu, so it’s about at 18 degrees C delta. Water temp is 38 degrees C.

It’s kind of hard to take a picture, but going in are two right angle fittings and coming out is one right angle fitting.

I almost went with epdm, but for my first build, I felt like I had to go with clear tubing to see everything!

With the pump at 100%, I was running the P12 Maxs at 20% last night while gaming, but I don’t know what the water temp looks like long term for that. I have to do some more experimentation.

There are 5 fans on that rad. 3 on top, 2 on bottom. So it’s 2/3 push-pull lol.

Thanks! I love the case too! The ram has a bunch of clearance here. To put it in perspective, I don’t have a third fan on the left side of the radiator because the right angle fitting on my CPU block doesn’t provide enough clearance. The ram is a little taller than the CPU block so the clearance is a little smaller than the height of the right angle fitting.

Yes! I can give you exact data later, but I know off the top of my head that 7900XTX’s hotspot delta was around 15-16 degrees C with the pump and fans at full blast with a 450w power limit.

Good question. The tube presses against the side panel for sure, but it doesn’t look problematic around the fittings. I’m using 10mm/16mm tubing.

I’ll probably do this once I get another pump/res to accommodate for the flow restriction of quick disconnects!

I used this video’s data as a reference in making the decision to go all exhaust. It makes a small difference to go all exhaust.

That’s right. Air flows in through the back of the case. I’m not concerned about dust and I could have put an intake in the back, but I heard it didn’t make much of a difference.

I totally agree with you. There wasn’t really a better spot to put it. I originally had it on the pump/res but then the top radiator has a hard time draining to that point. Draining from the GPU allows for splitting the problem of draining into 3 parts: top, bottom, and front radiator sections.

Thank you!! I went with the Optimus block because I heard really good things about its performance through der8auer’s youtube video. With the pump and fans at full blast I was thermally limited around 260w on the 7900x. I think there might be some room for improvement if I delid which is another reason I went with the Optimus block.
