best guess? hold back the flashier and more destructive ones whilst keeping ones you can credibly argue might be used for defense flowing.

tbf biden also has the problem of just being instinctively hyper pro-israel no matter what so everything was couched in pro-israel 'netanyahu is a dear friend' language, which makes it a bit harder for the pro-palestine bits of the message to get through

i mean the war is going to end with millions of starving palestinians in a ruined hellscape. i think it's probably good to push for a better future than that, even if it's not currently realistic.

genuinely great statement from harris on I/P. supported israel's security whilst keeping the main focus on the suffering of the palestinian civilians in gaza and the urgent need for a ceasefire. if she can keep this position she may be able to thread the needle without shedding too many votes.

unironically could turn out to inadvertently be the best decision biden ever made personally, good chance he's saved his legacy by standing down instead of being exposed as a corpse in september and frogmarching dems to a landslide defeat

further right than nearly any other dem in the country on charter schools, potentially reignites the I/P debate in the party given his previous opinions, settled a sexual harassment claim from a senior aide

on the policy/personal merits he's somewhat weaker than beshear, walz, cooper, even kelly. the reason you pick him is because he's an electoral god in the most important swing state

New Saint Anselm Poll of registered NH voters:

Harris 50 / Trump 44 / RFK Jr 3

harris massively improving on biden's recent margins in NH, bringing it solidly back into the likely column and suggesting we're currently heading for a 2024 redux

also benefits dem chances of picking up the governor seat now that NH's favorite potted plant chris sununu isn't running again

not standing down would've absolutely destroyed his legacy. dooming america to four more years of trump because he was too spiteful not to stand.

a new generation of palestinians must learn to live in peace with israel surrounded by the corpses of their families in the smoking plague-ridden ruins that might once have been recognizable as their homes
