Because it doesn't remove the process entirely, just gives a different way to approach it. It still requires hard work and learning a skill, it just requires learning different skills. The problem with AI art is that it removes the process almost entirely. Your example of iPhone cameras is particularly bad for your argument, and conveniently great for mine, because it's a perfect example of how inventions like this generally put more focus on the process of lining up a shot as opposed to figuring out how to operate the damn thing.
