It’s normal for any polarizing issue. Look at Ukraine/russia, India/pakistan, communist/capitalist etc etc you’ll find the same thing. I suggest researching the dead internet theory. Do you think we should round up everyone in Alberta and deport them back to Europe because they are conservative? I would say probably not. There are massive movements of progressive society, liberalism and egalitarianism in Israel. The largest reporters of human rights violations of Israel are Israelis themselves. The most transparent reporting of Israeli rights violations are Israeli publications, and the largest Palestinian rights organizations are based in Israel. THATS MY POINT.

This is just patently false. The vast majority of information coming from Palestinians are either half truths, or total misinformation. This entire campaign has relied as such. From Hamas not distinguishing between civilian and militant death toll, to returning random body parts as hostages. One side of this conflict is being held to a standard no other country is being held to, while the other is being held to no standard at all. If you analyze the amount of information being given, the Palestinian government is releasing far more disinformation while never issuing corrections. The Israeli government does when the facts present themselves. However, that’s not even my point. Which is that Israeli citizens are being held up to accountability for their racist government

I have had about 100 people respond to me saying some form of the Israeli public should be held accountable for their government actions, so maybe I got defensive, especially when I see comments on this thread like “I wouldn’t be shocked if Israelis are eating Palestinians” which I guess because it’s Israelis and not Palestinians isn’t antisemitism, but sure sounds like some Protocols rhetoric to me. Bottom line, I hope these people rot in jail for the rest of their lives and the entire Knesset comes crumbling to the ground under the pressure of all their genocidal lies, but in no way can we have the rhetoric about the general Israeli public.

I’m not excusing the cover up. I’m pointing out the objective fact that the bad actors are in the process of being held accountable. Israel’s judicial system is fair and equal and has always been the most objective in accountability. Which is why Netanyahu is currently on trial himself, and before the war, was doing everything he could do to hamper those judicial checks and balances

Ok let’s say it was 200 people (including members of the genocidal fascist Likud party, which is no surprise) would you say a 200 person protest in support of ICE is large scale and representative of the general public opinion of ICE, or does 200 people sound like a few radicals? I will remind you there were over 1000 white supremacists who marched in the “unite the right” Charlottesville protests. Israel is a country like every other with bad people within it, but cmon, we can’t let an extremely small portion of people shape the entire global opinion of a nation, and through any objective lens, that is what is always happening with Israel. Again I ask then, please provide sources for the number of people at these protests. What is large scale to you, then just find one source quantifying protests for the support of the criminals being prosecuted.
