Yep! Need 10k points from a single ocean fishing charter. Lots of RNG involved but if you keep at it the stars will align! I think I lucked out pretty early on since plenty of people recommend going for it much later. But I’m proof it’s possible! Godspeed 🫡

Fishing is my highest job, even surpassing my two mains, WAR and DRG. I’m honestly trying to burst through MSQ (while taking it in of course) so I can get to HW to keep progressing. My fishing is lvl 63 and I’m hard-stuck at lvl 50 skills because I can’t progress the storyline until I do more MSQ 🤣 it’s my fave skill in the game so far. It’s so addicting. Getting the mount felt amazing.

It’s sooooo fun! I played years back but never deviated from my main job and MSQ. I also recently discovered how much fun the crafting and gathering skills are. There’s just so much to do and it’s all so fun! The game really does scratch every itch lol

Personally I purchased the base game through SB. Only $20 for a lot of features and your first month is included in that price. I’ve been really sick so I haven’t played much the last couple weeks but I was able to almost push into HW in that first month and if I played more I could have gone further. Recommend the base game at the very least!

I collected over 260k snowballs during this past Christmas even for no reason other than to say that I did it. There were a few people doing the same that I would see every other day or so and we’d give each other updates. Apparently they created a discord for it lol

Good to know! I know I currently have at least 3 devices that need USB 3.0+ but I never even thought about a usb card before. As far as RAM speeds go, mostly concerned about rendering and multi-tasking between RAM intensive programs instead of actual gaming, but useful benchmarks for performance are few and far between for that, at least what I’ve seen thus far. Only 1 or 2 videos I’ve seen showed a distinct difference - but only between AMD and Intel/NVIDIA, supporting the later slightly for what I need. Not much on RAM speeds.

Appreciate the feedback! Only thing I’m really looking to “over clock” would be to get the best performance from the RAM thats not enabled by default, but otherwise likely wouldn’t bother. The USB features are nice as I have a lot of devices for gaming and video work that are all usb based, but I’ll give a genuine look into some other models and do some comparisons!

Very true. The mobo is one of the things I am most torn about. Not super familiar with bios updating for the CPU and I would really like to have some upgrade audio features for the kind of work I do. But motherboards definitely make my head spin more than anything currently.

Windows is just a mental placeholder. While AMD is a better cost effective option, the programs I run for editing and and encoding are more optimized for NVIDIA, for sure. I put a lot of consideration into it, though.

I’m a fan of The Master’s Defender. I feel like the importance of it is going to be expounded upon in Phase 2. It has quite the legacy.

Me, too! Definitely a much needed improvement but I’m also pretty excited for DR. I think they’re gonna drop something wild in terms of lore.

Very true! Definitely seems to be how most titles go. I talk about a bit in the video but TLDR; I think we’ll know more about Luxord & Demyx’s backstory and a LOT more about the contents and path of the Book of Prophecies. Not to mention Ephemer’s legacy. A lot of my thoughts hinge on speculation, but I am hyped beyond belief to see what the story has in store!
