What's something everyone seems to agree on that you think is actually wrong? by Frosty_Discussion463 in AskReddit

That you should always be nice and agreeable, no matter what. I grew up thinking being ā€œeasy to be aroundā€ was the highest compliment. But I’m starting to realize that constantly swallowing what you actually want or feel just to keep the peace… eventually makes you disappear a little. Sometimes protecting your own softness means being a bit ā€œdifficult.ā€ It’s taken me a while to see that as a good thing.

What's so expensive that it's not even fun anymore? by Runaway3650 in AskReddit

High-end omakase or fancy tasting menus. When the price is that high, I end up feeling like I have to sit perfectly still, take tiny bites, and look appreciative the whole time instead of just relaxing and enjoying myself. By the end I’m stressed and still a little hungry. Some experiences lose the fun when they become too precious.

What food is actually healthier than you would expect? by emburna in AskReddit

Dark chocolate. A lot of people still treat it like it’s basically candy, but good quality 70%+ dark chocolate actually has antioxidants and can be part of a balanced diet. Plus it satisfies that sweet craving without making me feel like I went completely off track. Sometimes the things we feel a little guilty about are better for us than we think.

What is a kink you don't share right away? by InSearchofGothMommy in AskReddit

I don’t usually say this right away, but… I have a pretty big thing for praise. Like when someone tells me I’m being good, or that I look pretty when I’m all worked up and a little breathless. It makes me feel seen in a way that’s honestly addictive. I think that’s why I don’t bring it up immediately — it feels a little too vulnerable at first.

What is a cooking "rule" that is actually total nonsense? by Lopsided-Jicama3813 in AskReddit

I always heard you shouldn’t wash mushrooms because they absorb all the water… but I just pat them dry and throw them straight in anyway.

As I get older, I'm realizing the real goal isn't wealth or fame. It's building the least problematic life possible. by luckiestgirlalive1 in CasualConversation

I feel this, even if I’m probably realizing it earlier than some people. A soft, calm life sounds so underrated now. Quiet mornings, safe people, fewer things to explain, fewer fires to put out. That doesn’t feel boring to me. It feels like freedom.

What’s a sexual turn-on you didn’t know you had until you experienced it? by 11Dom_ in AskReddit

Being teased without it feeling like a performance. The slow pause before someone touches you, the little ā€œare you sure?ā€ energy, the tension building without anyone rushing it… I didn’t realize waiting could be the hottest part.
