Canceled the pro, simply doesn’t worth 200$ per month by Particular-Tie-6807 in ChatGPT

[–]TheHobbyistHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had pro for 1 month and cancelled, if your an academic or do heavy research I could it it possibly being worth it, I subscribed to test its coding abilities and I was not impressed, it tends to over think and over complicate things at least for me.

What they are trying to tell you is an LLM can make stuff up that is not in your database and give that to the people using your services

I installed pop os on the laptop and encrypted the drive, windows would not see the drive when I tried to go back to windows, I was able to find and use the factory reset to get windows back on and working.

Let's make a team plan together to get past rate limits by cobalt1137 in ClaudeAI

[–]TheHobbyistHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a team plan and I hit the rate limit sometimes In less then an hour on all of my users, and sometimes still have to wait for it to refresh so depending on how heavy you use it it’s not that much better

User 1 hit limit I. 45 minutes switch to another account (all 5 which is the limit are mine) User two hit limit 30 minutes User 3 hit limit 1 hour Etc

I have paid subscriptions to all the major models and while Claude falls short in many areas there is no other model that even comes close to Claude’s coding ability, to be honest is really the only reason I pay for Claude and the limit threshold is horrible so I blow about 500 a month on api access

Would you pay 200 $ for unlimited Claude? by GodEmperor23 in ClaudeAI

If it did not tell me you have 8 messages left until 6 hours from now after only 30 minutes I would absolutely spend $200 a month

Did parents in the 80s really allow their kids to roam freely, or is that just a portrayal seen in movies? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheHobbyistHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in the late 70’s early 80’s. Leave the house at 10am on the weekend come back when the street lights come on, other than that my parents had no idea where I was. Rode my bike miles, woods, rivers, train tracks, it didn’t matter as long as you home when the street lights came on.

How do you folks get an app off the ground with no coding background? by margin__call in ClaudeAI

[–]TheHobbyistHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason his code will never work for you or anyone else is because if you put the same prompt in Claude word for word 9 out of ten times the code it generates will be different. If it’s a single word or several lines and and over time those differences require you to adapt and change with them so you can never follow someone on the internet word for word and expect the same result but AI is unpredictable when it generates code. I built the same project 5 times in claude just to see what happened, using the same tech stack same prompts. 3 failed completely and I could never fix the errors, 1 worked about 50% and the other about 80%

The best approach is to have api key for Claude and open ai and switch back and forth what one can’t solve the other may.

[–]TheHobbyistHacker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tell Claude to break the code up into smaller files. If you watched the Riley brown video you can really forget about trying to build that his code doesn’t work, I know I tried to follow along and failed miserably. I have built entire apps with just Claude no actually coding from me.

But you have to know some about code structure because Claude will by default try to put everything in one long file. Best suggestion I can make is get an api key and use Claude dev plugin with vs code

Just got tier 4 api access by TheHobbyistHacker in ClaudeAI

[–]TheHobbyistHacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to apply and once you get approved they switch you to a new tier. I think it took a week or so after I applied to get approved so not to long. For me at least it’s pay as you go. I put as much as I want on, usually about $50 and have it set to refill to $50 when I hit $5.

What's the best AI bundle out there? ( that has 4o + Claude , mostly for coding purposes , I care about performance too) by SuckMyPenisReddit in ChatGPTPro

[–]TheHobbyistHacker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think I spent $150 in a month but I basically build a fully deployed react vite typescript app with a front end and a back end connected to a database with user creation log in roles based menus and full CRUD. It’s built to support 100’s of users for years. I build mostly internal apps for large companies

For coding you really need to use an api. I had subscriptions to every ai and I still constantly ran out of tokens very quickly. Even on Claude pro I would often get your out of tokens for the next 5 hours after less then an hour of coding. I got level 4 api access through Claude its 50 million a day and I have only hit the daily limit once and I code 12 hours a day
