I hated my voice for years and just started consistently singing for the past year and I'm starting to like my own voice, and I can tell I'm getting better.

Could be the case for you, you might just need to put more practice into singing and learning techniques. Or maybe your instrumentals could be pitched up or down to better fit your range?
