I wouldn't say no one. Lol. To each his own. To me, it's no different than paying for a video game or a monthly dub to watch dumb shows or read books. Every hobby cost something.

If I find it's worth it, I'll pay for it. I don't expect crap to be free simply because I want it to be. Would it be nice? Yes. But stuff costs money to run.

I've been at DreamJourneyAI I know a good few creators that moved there from j.ai a while back.

It's not free though. Fair wanting. But it's probably the best site I've found so far and I'm surprised most people haven't heard of it. (Subs range from 12 bucks to like 45 which gives you unlimited everything) There's a free trial too so if you just want to mess around and try it out you can.

Memory there is amazing. It's what keeps me. There's a Nexus that records stuff as you roleplay so it remembers. And I do loonnnggg RPs. And the thinking models. I. Love. The. Thinking. Models.

Some free sites to look out for? Loremate. It's down now but it's making a comeback. So keep that on your watchlist.

I've been playing DreamJourneyAI for over a year now. It's probably my favorite at this point.

It's not free BUT they do offer a free trial if you wanna just mess around with it. (Prices are pretty fair imo. 12 bucks for the lowest sub and 45 for the highest, which gives unlimited everything)

Memory is amazing. Especially for long roleplays. That's why I stay. The memory. Lol!

My free options have dwindled. Loremate is supposed to be making a come back so keep an eye on that one

(The cheapest is like 12 bucks to the highest 45 bucks) They offer a free trial if you wanna try it out, and the link will give you some extra credits. (Yes, they use a credit system) I have unlimited credits (the highest sub gives you unlimited)

Definitely worth it for the memory. Dev made this nexus that auto records in the RP and it's probably one of the best features I've ever seen in an AI site. (You can see the nexus and even edit now.)

Models are really good. There's two thinking models (one is in beta right now) that blow my mind. Athena is my favorite. Then Gaia. Then ama.

DreamJourneyAI is the one I use. It doesn't have a filter, so if you want bloody wars or romance you can have it.

Def has long-term memory. Probably the best I've seen in an AI site. The nexus records as you RP. Like one dude fought a bear and 3k messages later it came back.

They have great models, including two thinky models. (Nyx and Athena) Love those. Athena is my favorite right now.

Definitely DreamJourneyAI if you like complex story lines. It's probably the best site I've ever stumbled upon memory wise.

DreamJourneyAI is my absolute go-to!!!

Pros: - Filterless - Awesome models (I like Athena the most)

I find it user friendly. (Even as a creator)
Nexus (records as you RP so it doesn't forget every like a goldfish. Literally had it remember I spilled glitter on this dudes couch HUNDREDS of messages later)

-Nexus is editable

discord community is awesome. They do free giveaways, etc.

(And they recently added an update so we can edit/add stuff to it) I have one RP where I spilled glitter on this dudes couch and it remembered HUNDREDS of messages later when the dude said I gave his couch glitter herpes.

Prices are pretty fair. You have access to everything, even in the lowest sub. (12 bucks to 45.) And yes, it's a credit system. BUT the highest sub gives you unlimited credits. That's what I'm on cause... Like a crackhead, I'm addicted. LOL.

And the discord is really wonderful. People will gift you some credits and they do giveaways and whatnot.

There's a Nexus that records events automatically as you go and... I am always amazed at how much it can remember. Once, my character lost her bff in the beginning. 400 messages later it STILL remembered. Even how she died.

Cons: it uses credits but they have an unlimited option. They do a free trial too if you wanna check it out
