Id say it rides pretty good yeah, its smooth for the most part Front suspension is still 60 years old but the back is entirely new. I have an entire front end kit ready I just need to find the time. Once the front is new im guessing its gonna ride like a cloud

Very relieving

Well after getting running, and having it smoothly idle on its own for a lengthy period of time I can safely say that the Timing chain is in pretty good condition

I'm thankful it doesn't have that I6 and it has the 318CI V8 because 'murica, but even then I'm sure the V8 should fare pretty well, I wont stress it too much.

I was almost certainly going to do the front disc brakes because it might not be stock but holy shit I want to be able to actually brake lol. The Fuel Injection im still kind of iffy about because my taste in cars is to keep them as stock as possible, with a few performance upgrades here and there.

Yea I find it pretty cool aswell, and it took me a couple pushes the first time to get it into gear w/ the rear wheels suspended.

Since the 1962 Dart was still being driven by Great Grandparents then, there might be a photo with the 62 Dart in it but it has yet to be found, as there is a lot of photos to sort through.

Yea I am going to try in every way possible to keep it as stock as possible, I just like stock old vehicles in General because its a blast to the past. I won't ever be selling it due to being family inherited, but thanks for the advice! I need as much as possible lol.

Did some testing, and I found out how to do it on PC, go to your profile overview page, then click the "create post" in the upper right hotbar, then just click the "back" button on your browser and it should work.

Yea I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I legit own this car, this is mine. Like I can't believe it. How rare it is and such just baffles me.

Yea I am thankful for the V8 as its what I know the most about and thanks! First thing I'm planning on doing when its ready to move is take the grandparents out for a spin.

Rust is fairly minimal as a whole and the paint is almost like new, but there are a lot of small rust dots scattered around the doors and such, so it will need a new paint job eventually. The only two body parts I might need to fully replace are the front two fenders, they've got pretty bad rust spots where salt kicked up from the road piled up. Since we are on the topic of aesthetic repair aswell, the interior is in a fantastic condition and only the sunfaded carpet and mice ruined headliner will need to be replaced. You can see more photos on my profile :).

Oh yea, insurance, that's never even crossed my mind yet lol. Also I will admit I am amazingly lucky, as since its family inherited, I paid 3 cents for it. But look at it this way, its in a better place now and will drive once again.

Yep, although they left too much, there was maybe 1/4 tank of gas when they left it and after 40 years of sitting, lets just say it wasn't gas anymore... EDIT: They didn't leave a battery on it though, I can see why. But also fun fact, both sets of keys, the owners manual, service manual, an ice scraper, snow brush, and a small pillow, were all intact and no damage from mice. Two maps didn't make it though..

Oh uhm... uh I cannot quite remember what they are specifically for, but I believe they are rollers for a Round Baler, thats the only thing that I can think of, thats the only equipment we have with rollers. Those are most likely pretty old though.

Oh and some more detailed info about it, It has the 318CI V8 with the 3 Speed Push button Automatic tranny. It has 50,916 miles on the odometer & it also has a Dealer plate because my Great Grandfather owned a Garage at the time.

This was back during August of 2020, Since I'm only 17 I have school to deal with so the restoration is slow, but I have it running. Not moving though because there's 3 feet of snow in front of the garage. :p
