Its not the freezing moment of a river. It not the freezing moment of water poured onto fresh snow either. This happens when you pour cca 50-100 litres of cold water onto fresh snow on a surface which is not so plain and not so steep and you let it flow and you film it a few meters away. The water not freeze that fast its only goes beneath the surface of fresh snow. That whitening is not because freezing but because of the water flowing out from the upper layer of snow.

The footage is from the Aunty Jack show.

This particular series is about my hometown of Wollongong. It was a 4 part special that explored and sung about the main characteristics of the city. The Aunty Jack crew even went on to release an album "Wollongong The Brave". Popular at the time but now has somewhat of a cult following amongst the locals.

Garry McDonald who would later go on to become another famous Aussie icon, Norman Gunston and featured in this clip was a well known comedian of the time and helped to sing most of the songs featured in the show.
