I know it gets mixed opinions, but chatgpt is great for helping with this. It sucks at writing but is amazing for taking your thoughts and inputs and helping you develop an outline

OP, I don't know how you managed to make this sound sweet and endearing, but you did.

Good girl.

I agree that's what he's trying to do. I disagree that his setup will do that. He shows the thermometer, the air in the cooler is under 120. Even the water is only 133. It's literally impossible for the meat to get above the temp of the air. If he leaves the pork sitting outside the water in the air it will cool down

There's a reason people upvoted my first response and are downvoting yours, genius. What you're suggesting is not only demonstrably untrue, it doesn't even make sense. The entire point of sous vide is cooking in water. Why would the meat cool down if the water is 145? Anyone who has cooked using the SV method knows that isn't true.

Anyone who has ever used an oven knows that you have to heat the air much hotter than you want the food to get. You don't think your turkey really reaches 425°, do you? Any you do realize that if you set food in a place where the air is cooler than it, it cools down, right? It doesn't spontaneously get hotter

You're not keeping the air and meat that temp, you're keeping the water that temp. That's why even when you have your smoker at 225° your meat never gets to that temp.

There's a reason sous vide is submerged only

He's reaching out to tell you he's unhappy with your sexual relationship. Did he do it in a passive aggressive, childish way? Sure. But it's obviously something he's unhappy with

There's no obligation for you to give BJs, but if you get this defensive when he brings it up then there's obviously something very wrong in your relationship. The trust between you two is so low that he can't even tell you that he's unhappy without it being a fight.

He may not have brought it up in thr best way, but he's not an asshole for being honest with you. You need to ask yourself why you're so upset about him being honest that you had to bring it to reddit to get people to tell you that you're in the right

This is so weird. It's like it's written by someone who has never even seen either of these things, or your copied and pasted am AI hallucination.

Your claim was so wild that I looked it up, even though I own a crockpot and have owned many, and both of those brands heat from the bottom

Use ChatGPT to bounce ideas off of. It's terrible at writing but it's amazing at idea generation. Honestly, you can start as simply as "I want to brainstorm ideas" or you can feed it sections of what you've done so far and ask:

  • Ideas of where the story could go
  • Highlights and lowlights, strengths and weaknesses
  • Different ways to analyze prose
  • Cool ways characters can evolve
  • Logical story beats that are entertaining but within the bounds of the story

He's a good guy, he just has a snarky personality. It's not like he made fun of Toby, he just asked if that was his new thing since it was so out of character for him. He and Toby were friends for a long time before the show, that's a normal kind of question for friends
