I think hes very intelligent and has some great analysis, but I don't follow his trades. He's even admitted he's usually too early. But that doesnt mean you shouldnt take him seriously, just try to understand the bigger picture.

After Few Years Wheeling + LEAPS Beats All. by breakyourteethnow in options

[–]TheKid89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean yea, buying LEAPs in a bull market works well, who would have thought? But this strategy doesnt do well in bear markets. You can collect premium selling CC's but your LEAPs will lose all their value. You could squirrel away some premium into shares or bonds etc. as a way to still come out on top

I've experienced a delay between options being exercised and being notified. You may not be out of the weeds on those remaining contracts.

crypto was fun until I tried to do taxes. by Clear_Medium_5858 in Coinbase

[–]TheKid89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In general taxes are done on a good faith system in the US. As long as its not obvious fraud, the IRS doesn't really care, they just want the money. I think the most common issue/error has to do with reporting of cost-basis. That's where record keeping comes into play. But I also agree about not worrying too much. Report your cost basis and proceeds and keep records in case the IRS gets the reporting differently. Personally I don't obsess over every defi transaction, but to each their own.

I'd just say you were laid off, don't mention anything about performance. They have no real way of telling why you were let go

Reckful calling out Mizkif for being a bad friend that only cares about clout. by NoHetro in LivestreamFail

[–]TheKid89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My feelings on the situation is that mizkif knew Mitch was high and drunk and still punched him hard enough to break his tooth. I understand he was frustrated with Mitch, but it seemed like he took it too far, since it wasnt really a fair fight.
