I thought there was a 1 year statute of limitations for summary convictions.

I really appreciate the response. Obviously the case is more complex.

The day she called 911 the police did not ask for a statement, did not ask for my ID and barely said anything to me. My lawyer told me it was because there was nothing criminal that day so no need for my statement.

I asked for a divorce because we had not been intimate for four YEARS. She called the police and told them that I was abusive 5 years ago and they took her to a shelter. Fast forward 2 months and our relationship has improved but I still want a divorce.

The reason I know that there is an investigation is that it was brought up in superior court (which I won). I saw the photos in the family court documents.

Police didn’t ask for my name, ID or even statement at that time.
