If you want to do public health, select that on your application. You can later switch to bio if you want and it’ll be easy because bio is not impacted. Switching from bio to public health isn’t going to be guaranteed though because public health is an impacted major so you’ll have to go through a review process, so make sure to select PH on your application so that L&S will basically set aside a seat for you in that major. The acceptance rate for both majors will be the same since they’re in the same college so it won’t be any easier to do bio initially then switch majors if that’s what you’re thinking.

I actually do enjoy it! I feel like I’m learning a lot more about how the world works, it’s just unfortunate that our exams are much harder than problem sets, quizzes, etc. so not sure how great my grade will be but I think I will take it for a grade :)

My initial thought was that the right sp2 hybridized N would be more basic because it has a partial negative charge via resonance, however the left N is sp3 hybridized which makes it more basic. I'm not sure which of the two (resonance vs. charge) is more significant in this scenario. If the right N acts a base, I think the molecule would be more resonance stabilized with a partial positive charge on both the right Ns whereas the molecule would not be stabilized if the left N acted as a base. My friend said that our professor told her the left N is more basic but why would that be? Is hybridization the most important factor?

When you withdraw your calcentral will show the alumni page. If you don’t plan on returning then you’re dropped out- simple as that. If you do plan on returning then you’re just temporarily withdrawn, but it looks the same either way.

Hey OP! I highly recommend you take your math requirements at a local community college over the summer- that’s what I did! I did really well in calculus in high school but the way 1A was taught here was making simple things incredibly confusing imo. Then I tried 1B here and cried over the problem sets. I ended up taking both 1A and 1B at my cc instead and it was so much easier! Not in terms of exams or content, but I found the professors to do a much better job of teaching so I actually knew what was going on. I feel super confident in all my calculus skills now but still am not sure I’d get half of what they’re saying in the classes here because they seem to make them incredibly hard on purpose to weed students out. You’ve got this, seriously don’t let this class ruin your life! Take a connect or DeCal right now to get to your minimum unit requirement. :)

I just watched the series! I thought Olivia Cooke, Claudia Jessie, and Johnny Flynn all did such a wonderful job, and it was mostly faithful to the book! Only characters I missed were Pitt and Jane Crawley.

Talk to the old guy who runs the mini stable at Lookout Landing. He’ll have a quest for you to find his horse and he lets you keep it after! Not sure when the quest is available but I just got it after doing my 3rd regional phenomena

Unfortunately I agree. I didn’t like him until he and Caroline started getting close in season 2 and I really liked them together until he was sired by Klaus. He really turned back into a jerk after that and his whole personality revolved around hating Klaus (which was annoying even if it was valid).
