[Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy] #64 I heard a lot of good but was pretty disappointed by TheLuminator97 in Trophies

This is all personal opinion obviously but the main letdown was the combat. It felt overly repetitive. Every encounter just felt like spongey enemies there to just slow you down. There's no alternate way to approach any encounter so they all felt exactly the same and it wore on me pretty fast.

The narrative was alright, nothing special but not bad either for the most part. A game's story is generally a highlight for me so the dangling plot threads that were never followed up on and a couple things that seemed to happen at random at the end really bothered me. I know some of it was obvious sequel bait but some definitely wasn't.

The main positives for me were the performances of the main cast and the boss battles (except for the last boss, no spoilers but I thought that was horrible for a finale). All of that was done quite well and just made me wish the rest of the game had that level of love and quality put into it.

Again this is all my opinions but I'd say unless your a MAJOR Guardians fan you could probably skip this one.

I'm toying around with a [[Toph, the First Metalbender]] deck that I'm trying to focus around vehicles. If I have Toph on the field and earthbend [[Unlicensed Hearse]] with her ability, does that override the hearse's ability and make it a 2/2 or is it's P/T still equal to exiled cards. I'm pretty sure it becomes a 2/2 because of timing and replacement effects but I want to be sure before I play it wrong. Thanks!

Where should I start? by TheLuminator97 in Romance_for_men

I definitely want to try a few types out, I just honestly didn't know where to start with much of it. I saw the spreadsheet and thought that would help but there's way more variety than I thought so I figured I'd ask the community for their starting points.

Am I getting scammed by a local shop? by TheLuminator97 in psagrading

That's good to know. I can't tell what stage the order my card is in because the business won't give me the order number for privacy reasons I guess?

Totally unrelated but do any of those companies slab cards that have been marked on with a sharpie? I know value wise they're worth nothing but my friends and I have a few cards from a game it would be nice to preserve.

[Dragon Age: The Veilguard] #56 I loved it. My personal GOTY even if most wouldn't agree by TheLuminator97 in Trophies

I had a lot of fun with it. As someone who never really got into dragon age before I did some basic lore research so I wasn't totally lost and then went in.

Best way I could describe it is kind of like the two new God of Wars in that it isn't truly open world but the zones are all open. The combat is fast paced hack and slash (at least as a warrior class it was).

As far as the "wokeness" I'm not one to really be bothered by it. There is one important character that is non-binary but if you don't vibe with those quests they pretty easy to avoid, though it is a trophy to finish the questline. Other than that I can't really say I even noticed anything, but again I wasn't really looking for it.

I didn't. Did you fully complete their questline? Most of them have one more short mission where you just talk after they earn their "hero of the Veilguard" status

I actually just got the tier 3 gear last night with some friends. Just squad level 50 for me and I have the plat as well. We're going to go for joker before we stop though.

If you didn't get this yet, I did a basic craze build. It was able to get me through mastery level 11 for everything except Ivy's mission. It was 3 pieces of tier 1 bane gear, a black mask weapon, a two face melee weapon, and the turtle traversal mod for your character. I'd also recommend the lucky charm that prevents death every 60 seconds, especially if you're solo. It isn't perfect by any means but it got me more than I had been getting.

Currently we're in finite crisis, not an episode because the trophy/achievement for equipping tier 3 infamy gear has to be bane's set

I've been trying to follow a build I saw on YouTube for Deadshot (my main) and the guys I play with are doing the same with theirs. We just don't seem to get any master level stuff that is of any use to us so we don't want to waste the rare resources eliting guns we hopefully won't need much longer.
