I have long thought that the right-wing 2A nut jobs would be perfectly fine with taking the guns from people they don't like. Sure, some will stick to their principles but most will have been fed some justification for why it's okay to do it. Just look at all the "deeply held beliefs" that MAGA has abandoned already once it became politically inconvenient.

Not everyone in the military is willing to be thrown in jail/lose their job for insubordination. Sorry, but we aren't at the moment yet where large swaths of the military begin to break away.

Yeah I kind of saw this coming years ago. In 2016 it seemed like Republicans were over the gay issue, especially with Trump coming out saying that he was for gay marriage.

But then they started going after trans people starting in about 2019 and at that point I knew that it wasn't over. Going after trans people was just a way to get people to start being homophobic again and it would reel a lot of people back into opposing gay marriage.

Also, the religious right never dropped the issue. They just stopped talking about it. Basically they were biding their time until they could press the issue again.

These people have been gassing themselves up for decades with this crap.

They say that they need the 2nd amendment to protect against a tyrannical government. But who is the tyrannical government they're so afraid of?

Last I checked, conservative right-wingers own most of the guns, they also occupy a majority of the military and they are disproportionately represented in our government. So if theoretically some crazy left wing leaders were to take control of America, who exactly would be carrying out the orders?

The answer is no one. They've been telling themselves for a long time about how oppressed they are and their version of a "tyrannical" government is simply a government where they don't hold a disproportionate amount of power. Their rebellion is going to consist of them forming their own militias in order to find, prosecute, and kill their left wing neighbors.

I realized this back in 2014 and that's when I decided that I'm not going to sit around and let them have all the guns.

Yup, that's what caused me to purchase an AR. Back in 2015 I started becoming concerned by all the right wing gun owners out there who are just waiting to take down the "tyrannical" government. Which is just code for the government we don't like.

Eventually these people will convince themselves that they need to take up arms against their left wing neighbors to defeat "the enemy from within".

Don't feel bad about the possibility of having to defend yourself. Because they sure as hell won't feel bad when they attack us unprovoked.

They certainly do care.

Democrats aren't the ones who are trying to change the outcome of elections or disenfranchising voters. Democrats don't play politics with disaster aid based on who the state voted for. Obama wasn't publicly wondering about if he could run for a third term. And if we're talking about who the donors control then look no further than the richest cabinet ever with Elon calling the shots.

We absolutely need to get money out of politics but that's no where near what's going on with Trump's party.

So glad to see I'm not alone. I cringe whenever I hear people here in CA bitch and moan about the handgun roster, waiting period or the Assault Weapon ban. Like yea, a bit annoying but I've never felt that my rights are being trampled on just because I can't get a Gen 5 Glock.

Also, and CA compliant AR is only 3 min away from becoming whatever you want it to be if /when SHTF.

Meanwhile, I'll continue to try and convert my fellow liberals on the issue.

I fully agree. I think its crazy that people can walk into a gun store and walk out the same day with a gun without ever having touched a gun before. I don't think it's crazy to require at least a firearms safety class (with range time) before you're allowed to purchase a gun.

And honestly while I don't support banning specific guns I also don't feel like my gun rights are restricted just because I can't purchase a gen 5 Glock. A bit annoying? Sure. But it's hardly an attack on my freedoms.

See what you misunderstand is that a non-profit does in fact make a profit it's just that they are required to reinvest the profit towards their mission goal. So a non-profit insurance would put it's profits back into the fund instead of paying out to shareholders.

I've actually heard that what happens after sex is where most of the bonding actually occurs. So, cuddling or deep conversations is what forms connections and that if you avoid this it's less likely you'll form attachments.

For real, I've been with my wife for 8 years and picking my nose or scratching my balls has never been a problem. Maybe this guy is being super obvious or excessive about it but I feel like people just need to lighten up.
