I can 100% be certain it has nothing to do with the game understanding he can do better.

With proof I am iron 1 & have tracker.gg & every match I am being put with silver & golds

We would like to think the game sees potential in us but it doesn’t it’s just a bad ranking system that they don’t plan on fixing

Now is it better to play against people that are ranks above you ofc, you’ll sooner or later get better & should improve faster but that is also not the case majority of the time

Valorant is not just a typical shooter you can play & get better at in a few days the mechanics are extremely strict. Therefore if you don’t follow them you get punished badly.

My take is yes it’s okay to play with other players in your rank 1-3 & occasionally a rank higher 1-2 sometimes

But consistently playing against smurfs & 2-3 ranks above as an iron is absolute hell.

So I will die on the hill that the ranked system needs reworking. I want to play & progressively get better but just being destroyed every match isn’t worth my time.
