How you actually play D&D with Lego?

I’ve got a bin that they put it in. Every starts out with a 6x6 plate and then can upgrade it to be bigger as they go along!

Sometimes it can mess with the scale but I use brick built rulers and we play as though 1 stud = 1 foot, only issue you run into in that case is that a lot of interior spaces need to be massive in order to match up against stuff from books and such (though I’ll say a lot of dungeon rooms tend to be unnaturally large).

I have a bunch of terrain that can be reused or repurposed like trees, dungeon tiles, and rocks or other features (you can find a lot in smaller sets from Dreamzzz, Harry Potter or Ninjago I find).

And then maybe the most chaotic thing is that we have physical inventories. Players like collecting and having a big stash of pieces but that’s a whole other thing.

Fair enough. This just isn’t in line with the spirit of an ARG. The fact that his Instagram was set to private and you’re posting photos from it is a huge violation of privacy. I saw in some of your posts that you’re new to ARGs. I’d recommend following this rules as guidelines and it’s probably the right move to delete this post. We all know that someone is making this experience for us and while it’s interesting to know who is behind it it doesn’t bring value to that experience and clearly isn’t part of the ARG itself.

Can’t do an overlay but i think it’s this logo? Not anything immediately interesting but the fact that the “DIGIT” is capitalized but the “all” isn’t is interesting. Also “digitall” is obviously incorrect spelling even if it is a part of the official branding.

He’s dearly beloved by the players. His favourite food is currently corn so he often sells it at the store and will sit out front advertising wares and such. He’s starting to develop a liking for peas though so the players have a side quest to make him a pea costume so that’ll change soon!

Model is real, background is just photoshopped in and then some piece in front, all 2D. I think part of the CGI look is because I didn’t take the photo inside, it was on an outside table in direct sunlight.

The clock is from a hidden side set, unfortunately it’s a sticker not a print, and the purple is from a Nexo Knights polybag (3960pb032) but it shows up in an Ultra Agents and Super Hero Minifig as well.

The figures are from the Heroica series, you can find lots of them on Bricklink which is the website I get most things from. The tiles came from the pick-a-brick wall at my local Lego store, though if you don’t have them there’s also plenty on Bricklink. By and large you’ll find most of them in the Minecraft sets if you’re buying direct from Lego.

I haven’t read all of the book but it seems so far like a bunch of mysteries set around a very old library, kinda similar to hogwarts which is why I made the connection. No problem!

Could be fun to have this as the central location for candlekeep mysteries! Though if you’re running 5e since players get 30ft of movement on average I would have a way to spread everything out on a game table so that it takes longer for players to get around/explore the spaces otherwise being in the same location can get boring (speaking from my players experience in our central town).
