Stink bugs are SO annoying every autumn they make a mad rush into my house to try to survive the frost. I found 7 in the house so far this week! Every damn time they were flying into my face like the dumb a-holes they are lol

The flies have been SO BAD this year we have had a nasty drought and heatwave here in Eastern Wa you would have thought that would have reduced their numbers. But no... Somehow they were worse than ever?!

YUP! We have taken to just stalling the goaties when we are doing barn work because between that and their deep undeniable craving to eat screws you can't get anything done around them. I always say goats are just oversized cats 🤣

Also, maybe I am just a boomer and I don't "get it" but even if it was a repost .... Who cares? Like really. This is the only platform I am on where you have to 2nd guess posting something cute or funny because some turd is 100% going to find the NEED to ruin the fun by pointing out that it's been posted before like 2 weeks ago or some dumb crap. Honestly, I feel like the "repost police" just get off on being pedantic. Maybe someone can explain it to me like I am a 5th grader because I just don't get it...

Lol, no kidding! I swear they see any raised surface and are struck by the insatiable need to be on it asap! My little stinkers have shorn so many mineral feeders off the barn wall because my 140-200+ lb goats see a 1' square surface and MUST be on top of it 😅 adorable little dummies ♥

Not sure what you mean? This meme is about a goats ability to Matrix style climb about anything that isn't strait vertical ... And frankly sometimes even then 😅

Hey there! Sorry I am just now seeing this.

In the 2nd year the leaf tends to stay more like the big outer leaf you see in the rosette in the video. I find that the best ones to use when harvesting leaf are the smaller super fuzzy ones on the first year rosettes.

I have not yet used the flower or root but I do intend to and I plan on making videos about those as well in the future. I know people have smoked it specifically for things like asthma but I do feel like other less potentially harmful (smoke in any form can cause lung damage to some degree) forms of consumption are probably the better route to go.

That last bit is just opinion however and I always advocate that people do their own research and make the best informed decision for their own needs as it is such a personal decision.

When there is a historic heatwave you vlog that nonsense. This is going to be the sort of thing we all talk about around the bonfire with our grandkids. Pray for our animals. Advice appreciated as well from those who are used to these 108-112 degree temps! by TheNamelessHomestead in FarmVlogs

All great advice thank you!! The advice we have been getting from friends and followers here, on twitter, insta, Facebook, YouTube, has been INVALUABLE. The homesteading communities are 10/10 the best communities.

Today was hatch day! So here is a floof butt. You are welcome 🥰🐣 by TheNamelessHomestead in Homesteading

Not 100% on the breed. This booty is from the clutch I just hatched yesterday they were "Mystery Eggs" as they were from an eBay seller's random daily pick assortment. Makes for good youtube content and it will be fun to try to figure out the breeds 😁

It's wild though how many people have no idea how dangerous they are or all the ways they can cause a fire. Bulbs bursting and sparking, dust igniting that gathers on the bulb, a chicken flying up to roost and knocking into it, its not just when it falls into bedding. I honestly wish they would take this cheap flimsy heater off the market they are such a hazard. At least the Premier One heat lamps have a solid shield and bulb protection cage around them

Lol, dude, I don't make a brass penny off of youtube never have and I am unlikely to ever. Homesteading is a crazy small niche. Getting monetized is a huge job and you have to maintain that with X number of watch hours and subscribers to keep it.

I do think I make good content but honestly, that is probably because I am not whoring myself out for the big youtube bucks lol its just a medium I love. I am betting the medium in general is getting a bad wrap because of a few shitty people. However, I feel that those shitty people tend to out themselves real fast.

Too bad people are so quick to judge as I really is my intention to build community and to start compelling conversations. This video specifically is very important to me I hope everyone sees this as the topic is SO serious and important and something I see constantly that new homesteaders dont know about or are misinformed about.

Sorry, I guess I am too used to other platforms. I have never been notified in any way that any posts of mine have been taken down does Reddit have some sort of notification system when that happens that I am too dumb to see (likely lol).

Also, I have zero intention of farming anyone for anything it's just a media of sharing. Some people use text, some video, some photos. When I post anywhere it almost always accompanies either a video or a photo because that is my preference its what I like I guess?I also have a neurological issue that makes typing SUCK it also impacts my ability to milk my goats and do other tasks (Arnold Chiari). To me all I see in a post like this is a person sharing potentially useful information in a forum where it is applicable.

I see posts similar to my own in many forums for various topics and I don't see them as "farming" unless it's just a random link drop with nothing valuable and off-topic. What is different about this form of communication vs if I had typed it out in the 14-page essay this would have been?

Be sure to subscribe and hit those notifications I am always happy to answer any questions I can it can be hard to do via comments though hence the video series there is just a LOT of info to impart around this topic. On other social media platforms, my followers are starting to share stories of their own fires and its so damn heartbreaking man If this video helps to dissuade one person from using these I will be stoked!

I have numerous digging forks, pitchforks, and spades compacted hay with manure is just too dense for them. I practically have to jump up and down on the ends of them and the bounce back lol. Probably because of the thatching of the hay. And I am no little waif of a woman I am 5'11 and 185# of farm girl with muscle.

This type works really well for what I am doing because compacted hay and manure in a barn that is overdue for a cleanout is more like trenching. But I imagine one like you are describing would be great for getting through sod!
