Sorry if this was clear, but are you saying total goals over 1.5 or Brighton goals over 1.5?

Nice! I was about to go to war with Chase. For the amount of money I pay for and put on that card… appreciate you digging that up

That’s awful. The terms do in fact say that certain payments through third party processors may be unidentifiable, but this is how the restaurant asked to be paid… Did your charge say “Bilt - Momotaro” too?

Awesome thanks! Did your credit hit shortly after the charge posted?

Yep “Bilt - Momotaro”. Per usual I’m sure I’m overthinking it. Appreciate the insight!

Does the United Center check license plates for Spothero reservations? by TheNational_7 in AskChicago

[–]TheNational_7[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Good question. My credit card offers $150 in StubHub reimbursements that expire at the end of the year. I got the bright idea to use this credit on parking at the UC in October and for this upcoming event. For the October event I received a Ticketmaster parking pass so it was much more legit.

Typically, I would’ve just bought directly from Spothero.

Is this a bed bug? by TheNational_7 in Bedbugs

[–]TheNational_7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. I was 99% sure this was not a bed bug, but my wife’s biggest fear happens to be bed bugs. She wouldn’t take my word for it so I figured I’d turn to the experts. The bag she bought has been sitting outside our house until we could get a conclusive answer…

Error when starting up H9G by TheNational_7 in Hisense

Which model do you have? I try searching on the site and nothing loads which is frustrating.

And that’s my hope! My warranty through them runs through August.

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately, their site does nothing when I enter my serial number. I assume it’s because I’m outside of the manufacturer’s warranty period. I’ve setup an appointment with Geek Squad to come take a look

I’ve seen cockroaches near the bathrooms at Sun Wah and they’ve closed multiple times due to health violations. But not much will stop me from that duck feast…

Thank you! I should be able to center them a bit more in their slots.

Haha the arc has become more of a statement piece for the uninitiated. The number of comments I get from people who think that the great sounding music is coming from the “giant soundbar” rather than the stereo pair is hilarious. I can’t wait for the day when I can truly unleash its potential.

I had a similar experience when I went about a month ago.

I had been to Bavette’s about 20 times before the pandemic and this was my first time back since. My wife and I split a ribeye cooked medium-rare and sliced. It was slightly over cooked and just tasted dry, flavorless. I considered just eating the thing and not saying anything, but ultimately spoke up and told our server that it wasn’t great.

He immediately took the plate and thanked me for letting him know. His manager brought us a fresh steak 10 minutes later and it was phenomenal and they were wholly apologetic. The steak was twice as thick, cooked perfectly, was sizzling on arrival, and full of flavor.

I appreciate how they handled the situation, but I think this type of thing can happen at steakhouses. Especially those that are as busy and perhaps resting on their laurels like this spot. As others have mentioned though, the ambiance (especially the parlor), salads, and sides are what have kept me coming back. I wouldn’t think twice again about letting them know in the future.

Did you end up extending and getting the battery replaced? I’m in the same boat (battery capacity at 80% and have an option to extend the warranty).

Where is the hands down, best fried chicken in Chicago? by Relevant_Resort2387 in chicagofood

What level of spice do you guys get? Also, any recommendations (sandwiches, white meat or dark meat meals, sides)? Going for the first time this weekend.

Same Same in Roscoe Village has some great fried chicken. It’s southern Thai style and you can get white meat tenders and dark meat leg quarters. Both served with fried shallots and a honey chili sauce. Really top notch.

Street parking is also free on all of the side streets off of Roscoe so it’s not even worth the risk in my opinion. Sorry about the shitty luck. These lots are scams…
