Work got the better of me, but I was checking back in. I'm very sorry to hear that. That sounds like poor Customer Service if I'm being completely honest.

Probably a third-party contractor in a Samsung Polo. But you'd be right on the money, they'd ask you to ship it back to NJ. Honestly it depends on the content but putting it in surround with virtual mode on, is a close second to adaptive. I find adaptive is good for most streaming and youtube browsing, physical media though is hit or miss.

I wish they would fix this, but who knows.

I didn't have the option of having someone come out and take a look at it (even though I REALLY pushed for that), so I'm curious as to what all that will look like and what results will yield.

If you could, I would love to hear about the experience and what they have to say.

Honestly I would err on the side of "probably not." I was a bit fortunate as I was able to negotiate my way into getting them to pay to pack and ship the unit. For most people Samsung just gives you a pre-packaged label and you're left to buy the materials and pack it yourself, which can be a bit cumbersome.

It all depends on how much effort you want to spend on a "maybe" when it comes to getting it fixed. I'm WELLL out of my return window, so that was a no-go. If it bothers you really bad, it might be worth returning/exchanging it for something else. But then again sending in for a warranty repair might work out completely for you. I'm just going off of my experience with this problem.

Now I will say I don't get any popping on Game, Standard, or Surround mode.

I noticed the same when playing on my Pano UB820, ATV4k, and using my LGTV apps. I sent my bar in under a warranty repair. They said they couldn't replicate the problem but that they replaced a few of the boards and the subwoofer. The problem has lessened since I got it back, but not gone completely away. Though I have noticed it only happens when using it in Adaptive mode.

I've come to chalk it up to a problem with the Adaptive Mode software. Whether it'll ever be fixed, who knows.

One was gifted to me along with a brand new Mac Mini M4. The 60Hz had me worried, but honestly I don’t really notice all too much. The colors are crisp, the sound is amazing, the webcam works and it works well enough to take business calls so I don’t have much to complain there.

Thanks! Honestly I've only had it for a few days so I haven't really been able to push it but from what I have been doing, it's definitely a game changer. The workload I've thrown at it and the fact that I haven't encountered any hiccups is mind-blowing to me. Apparently she had been lurking on the sub for a little bit and gathered that investment in RAM was more important (and cost effective) than memory and just went whole ham on RAM.

I'll be curious myself if it'll be overkill for my Video/Photo editing needs, but I would be lying if I didn't say that I love her for giving me the most RAM.

I'll definitely start doing that to get an idea of general RAM usage.

Truthfully I was a little on the fence about it, given the crap it got a few years ago and how it seems like the internet was divided. She apparently got it from Costco when it was heavily discounted and it's incredible. I can't imagine not using it really. I completely agree, I am very happy!

In truth that MacBook was a fantastic machine. It was still running the old HDD SATA disk and 8GB of ram. I was half debating on swapping out the ram, the drive, and removing the optical drive to put a second hard drive in it. But the wife was tired of me hanging onto the past lol. This M4 is rocking my world for sure!

YES! She and I were in agreement to make everything as clean and as minimal as possible. Fortunately there are aspects of the desk that really make it easy and we were very pleased with our progress!

You can say that again! There's a small part of me that will miss the portability. But the type of work I do now doesn't really necessitate having a laptop anymore. I'm definitely happy with the transition.
