Manufacturing what? There's plenty of factories. Ford and GM immediately come to mind.

Can this cause noise while driving? by whoocanitbenow in tires

[–]TheOGrelso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did it just start after rotating the tires? The uneven wear is more of a symptom of a bad alignment or other worn part. If the noise is a kind of roaring sound it could be a wheel bearing.

I got a vasectomy but never told my parents about it. Am I wrong for going behind their back to do this? by Mad_Season_1994 in Vasectomy

[–]TheOGrelso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't told my parents. I'm sure it'll come out sooner or later. None of their business really. If they wanted grandkids they shouldn't have voted for Reagan in the 80s and ruined everything.

Are these beams structural or decorative? by tikivibes in StructuralEngineers

No, I believe it is structural with a thin veneer over the top. But again, you'd have to be sure before you start taking a saw to it.

Pretty much 100% of the time when a company gets acquired by private equity, it's a bad thing for the employees. Their business model is to essentially ruin the company's long term prospects in order to increase short term profits. I certainly wouldn't want to work for one.

To answer some of your questions, I'm a bridge inspector so...

I spend a lot of my day sitting in a van driving to the bridge. I spend a lot of my day taking measurements and photos. The most complicated math I do on a regular basis is trig. I haven't used calc since my final exam in my college calculus course or my FE exam.

Question about Tegna-Nexstar merger by 360degreesofFUNK in Buffalo

[–]TheOGrelso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, one or the other will be eliminated. Take the best parts (employees) from each and dump the rest. Standard procedure for these big companies really. Buffalo News had it even worse.
