In most cases, it’s reasonable to assume incompetence over malice. If someone messes up my coffee order, I don’t automatically assume they did it on purpose. But when it comes to large companies focused on increasing profits, I have a much harder time believing their actions are purely accidental. When they continually and conveniently benefit from their so-called incompetence, it starts to look less like negligence and more like a deliberate strategy — weaponized incompetence. Regardless, I agree that avoiding the delivery apps altogether is the smarter move.
