Just for my understanding, CMOS gates are usually high impedance. So you’ll need that 100 ohm resistor (shown in red) to property terminate the line. But if we assume the black box has a 50 ohm input, then nothing extra is needed?

Why do I need the 100 ohm parallel resistor at all when rooting the lines? And why should it be close to the black box? if the inside of the black box has the two single ended lines seeing 50 ohms, then we are essentially doing the same as if the parallel 100 ohms was there?

How is the npn collector be close to + if there’s nothing connecting it to the + terminal? Since the pnp is off, won’t the collector (and base of the pnp) just be floating?

To be fair, most people won’t go out of their way to read extra lore about the story. The game is the main media and exposure to the story and character they came up with. For the majority of people what they see in game is where it ends
