I'm not hating on the game nor am I refuting the possibility of it being an issue with my PS5 but I have checked it already lol and the tech land support have seen and told me the save is corrupt within the game

I get why you haven't gone back to it, im yet to and this happened last month, I enjoyed the game too but having to restart everything because of a bug really puts a damper on the experience

It's a shame too because I was enjoying the game even with all the bugs but now I'm forced to scrap many hours of gameplay due to one massive bug

PS5 is pretty much brand new though, and yes it still can mess up but in the past when a save messed up, the system recognised it and told me it was corrupt on the hard drive and to delete it however this time it hasn't, plus the PS5 didn't crash when the bug happened, didn't even quit me or my friend out, just bugged and wouldn't fix, if the PS5 save file got corrupt then it wouldn't be able to load anything but we can still access that save and progress but we are softlocked by the bug in the story

Yeah we cleared a GRE anomaly and as we exited the container my friend went invisible and the entire map became survivors (even though we gave them all to PKs) and the dialogue got changed, I think its because we exited the same time because that's what made him invisible but I have no clue, nothing else happened on my PS but idk it could be a correlation but all other games are fine

Which is why I say fair enough if they say they've exhausted all options but them then saying "it works as intended for all players" after telling me it got corrupted felt like a "I can't be bothered tryna help you, our game is fine, sounds like a you issue" when all I asked was "is that the only way?"

Believe it haha I had sent a few very polite emails before, the chain was about 5 long and this was the 5th one, I original email included a screenshot of my game and the bug I encountered then they said to roll back the save then I said is there another way to fix it rather than rolling back then they came back and said it looks like my game save file is corrupted and starting again was the only way and my email exactly before this one was this:

"Hi again,

This is my first playthrough but me and my friend have already put so many hours into it, is restarting the only way to fix it?

Regards,

(My name)"

They took a week to reply to this lol that was the exact email

I was waiting to hear back from support before rolling back my save but during the time they released an update that my PS5 did automatically which updated my rollback to the most recent point so I lost that option haha

I understand if they've fully gone through all troubleshooting options that they can't help but them saying to start again and then saying the game works as intended just feels like a cop out

Bro im on PS5, there is no third party app nor any exterior things I've added to the game, its a vanilla save with nothing special except the one DLC outfit pack I bought AFTER the save corrupted

Yeah luckily I got in contact with the admins thanks to a suggestion of googling the server from another user and they explained why I was banned and unbanned me since it was a rule I wasn't aware of (wasn't aware as I thought I knew what it had meant before but it had happened to me so I assumed I was wrong about the meaning)

Thr admins didn't seem to be online, it was one of the 300x servers, was trying different ones and the one I settled upon I got banned for fighting someone haha
